Do pick packing. It's good money, easy and depending on the product can actually give you a bit of exercise. (Tell them you have experience with whatever they ask short of machinery. Eg rf scanners.) The governments make people impossible to sell because you kind of have to promise never to fire anyone, which is ridiculous because if the demand for your product goes down you can't support legions of unoccupied workers. So labour hire company make the hire, promise the employment and the actual companies use the workforce for when it's needed.
