battery is great, has never died on me in a day. I do have the s9+ though which i believe has a bigger battery than the base model

I remapped mine to open the camera when pressed twice and the flashlight with a long press. You can completely disable it though I think. I never really use shit like bixby, siri, google assistant or anything so dont care for it either
