Guatemala seems comfy, maybe i move to expat town and marry guatemalan

Try Antigua, that is where all our tourists are. Or Lake Atitlan, a ton of draft dodgers came down here and started a hippy community. Most of them stuck around

A relative of my family had a wedding down in Guatemala back when I was younger. Kinda wish I went; I love to travel.

Yea... I don't think so. Antigua sounds bretty good to me. Looking around on street view seems comfy.

It is our old colonial capital. Very comfy. All historical sites and tourists and backpackers launching their trips to the rest of the country. Only about an hour out of the capital too.

You can still come down if you want! Just plan it well and get some good guides

How are things like safety? Narcos run amok on the outskirts or what. Whats rent cost, utilities, internet speed? Are things Earthquake proof?

Learning any of those languages must feel like the biggest waste of time ever.

>Try Antigua
Is learning Spanish here a meme? It seems like the cheapest place in this hemisphere to learn it

Antigua is about as safe as we get in urban areas, the capital and the east are bad though. Rent you will prob get gouged because small town. For the US we are pretty good, but inflation is creeping in and rent for a small nice apt. in a safe part of town can be $600 a month avg. but the nicest places will be more expensive like $1500 . Things are earthquake proof, and unlimited internet is $30 a month. I wont lie tho, place is unsafe, and you will need a guide at first to show you the ropes. If you stick to the safe parts though I guarantee you we have a surprising amount to offer.

I don't know

Very detailed response, thanks bro

>How many languages does your country have?
I don't wanna talk about it...

No worries man

48 if you count Spanish.

More than 50.

roughly 60 (+2 if english and french count)

its hard to tell an exact number because the dialects can vary greatly due to a large geographical range
over 50% of those languages are in BC alone.

And how many native speakers do those 60 languages have? How many are actually extinct?

We're the country with more languages in the world.

just under a quarter million speak all these languages.
that 60, is actually the number of languages that are still alive to a varying degree.
its estimated that potentially 100 different diverse languages have been extinct over the past centuries, although I would argue thats estimate is way out of preportion

my language Cree is the most widely spoken language in Canada

Not even close, I'm sure India and several other countries in Asia and maybe Africa have hundreds of them, if not thousands depending on how flexible is your criteria.

Stop guateposting, cerote

Four if you only count the autochthonous ones
