If I had a bachelors degree I'd probably be doing the same. But then again, I know many different people that fell for that meme and got stuck in it, hated teaching, wanted to move back to the US but had nowhere to stay, no money, no job lined up.

I wish the West was more like Japan and Korea I don't understand how they're doing everything so well

they don't regard 19th century technology as their culture and thus have no problem throwing it out the window when new 21st century technology emerges
the big difference is that they are pragmatic while Europeans are largely idealists (i.e. stupid)

How'd you manage/what are the requirements? I'm finishing an English degree soon, and planned to enter a Master's program, but I'd enjoy leaving this country 2bh. Anywhere I don't want to rip my fucking eyes out, while enjoying my language. Teaching it would work, too

I'm down for anything outside here. My town has six autoparts stores, and our cities are plastic tourist traps. I want to leave. Maybe not Korea, but somewhere less depressing. Everyone here talks about either killing themselves or hating their jobs, and nothing else
but on a serious note, why the fuck would you want to live in china? you can't access half of the internet there and even with proper vpn there's always oversecurity against civilians/expats that a slight mistake against the government will result in punishment/exile
>inb4 singapore does the same at least we have proper internet and don't blatantly kick people out of the country
japan is pretty alright too, it's just personal preference if you're choosing from korea or japan desu

Isn't Asia kinda closed-off to foreigners? I know Asia is vast but if a white man moves to Korea, China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, etc. will he ever be considered welcome by the Natives even if he learns the language perfectly? It seems like they would be doubtful of you and see you as a stranger constantly.

context? does not need it, a single picture you put on your post tells us everything
never heard an american(/canadian/australian) sexpat call us monkey except for insane korean diaspora and pure Koreans
An online Korean friend I have told me 2 of her friends killed themselves because of how much of a shit place Korea is to live. Awful education system, a despicable competitive society that treats everyone like disposable automatons, etc.
