It's mostly a Catholic-Protestant thing, with Catholics generally having a more hierarchical/academic approach to scripture as well as profound respect for Graeco-Roman philosophy. The Church was eventually corrupted, but Protestants moved everything into the direct opposite direction: Bibles were available to everyone (that's good) which resulted in every village preacher branding himself a theologian and starting his own church (that's bad), which has led to some of the most retarded shit in Christian history, from Young Earth Creationism to witchhunts to literally eating their own shit.
Not that Catholics are any better nowadays post-Vatican II. The modern church has taken the same emotional, 'charismatic' approach as Protestants, especially Evangelicals. This is also why the Catholic Church is losing to Evangelicals in Latin America. It is said that you should never engage morons, because they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Christianity was NEVER a red pilled religion. Compared to Judaism (divine retribution) and Islam (legalistic nationhood), Christianity is lovey dovey hippy dippy leftist shit. If it was one bit red pilled, Jesus would have called down the 7 plagues (Judaisim) or migrated to Carthage to set up a base of military and political liberation (Islam) of Jerusalem from the Romans. Instead he chose to die on a stick and poked like a succulent pig. No one stood for him or died defending him. Even when he came back to life, he didn't use this Terminator like ability to rekt Romans and Jewish priests. In short, Chtistianity is a poofta religion originally and any martial aspects to it came from later Roman and Nordic/Germanic pagan influences. Christianity even deified Jesus' mum which is cringy and SJW-like.
