Uni
excellent thread
I would have become an award winning physicist if it wasn't for group work
>find a lab partner
I never had a problem to find people to work with me because everyone knew that I am smart and hardworking
It has always been sort of a priviledge to work with me
>no, I prefer working on my own.
>go up to random person
>hey wanna work on the lab together
>"no"
>be in group
>do pretty much all of it by myself
I'm the leech who doesn't do any work.
Based
Please don't tell me you have to do this, I fucking hated this in high school.
I always joined the same group cause I was scared of being made fun of for being alone.
>mfw I'm teach
>mfw I going to force people to do group work
>mfw I have no face
You could have stopped this. If only you would raise your hand to answer my questions in class. All I want is a little participation and discussion but you couldn't give me even that.
This is what happens when you let women attend universities.
God damn it. Of course I have an embarrassing typo in a post where I say I teach students.
My teacher always made someone who wasn't paying attention answer the question. It was always me.
We don't want to look like smartasses. Just let us be autists in peace.
I just call on people that aren't talking a lot while trying to avoid calling on the people with anxiety (you can usually tell).
Even simply asking for clarification would be nice, my friend. Teachers/professors aren't trying to get you made fun of.
Protip: the teacher feels just as awkward during a silent classroom and just as awkward having to talk for an hour to a room full of uncaring students. Throw us a bone once in a while.
what if i'm not very smart? I was in a math class in my freshmen year of uni and I could never get help with anything cause there was 70 students. It didn't help that it was very difficult understanding her because she had a very thick chinese accent.
Who cares about stupid questions? If anything it lets the teacher know where we've messed up explaining something we thought was basic.
>I could never get help with anything cause there was 70 students
Office hours. Most universities have tutor centers as well.
>she had a very thick chinese accent.
Nothing you can do about that.
like a dozen other people dropped out because of her accent.
>Who cares about stupid questions?
i kinda judge others when i hear real dumb questions
Based. Make sure to mandate groups of 3, those are the worse
>the worst
the worst is assigned partners where you're in a 4 person group with 3 girls
Put the Jow Forums incels looking guys in team blacks
i dropped because of this
Science isn't usually done alone, user
I dropped out once when I missed a class the day groups were formed and the professor sent me an email to choose my group. All groups were filled and there was this guy with nobody. I just dropped out because I didn't want to make the choice
Did you drop out from the uni or just one class?
I fucking hate that. Last semester I ended up doing fucking everything and most of my teammates started leeching from my work, they got annoyed with me when I called them out on their bullshit, and they didn't move their asses until I told them that I was about to get hospitalized (and yet only one member of the group was the one that did most of the work while the others did almost nothing). I couldn't kick them out so at the end I just asked them for money that I ended up wasting in a week.
I am glad that this semester we don't have the same amount of group projects like last year.
>join group of females
>don't do shit
>hold autism
I managed to look like I did my share and passed 3 courses thanks to this
groupwork is a huge meme. they just want to fit the marking scheme. I was better before I met these parasites and bossing around shitters
