I kept chickens as a kid, but I have no time these days, you know? Much less space. If I keep animals, I want to properly care for them, not just own them. Roosters especially; chickens are stupid, but have good personalities

Used to raise them but Asian bird flu scare of early 2000's caused mass culling, at that time the country was still spooked by the discovery of the new Nipah virus of 1998-1999 where soldiers in hazmat suits combed the entire country in a piggy holocaust.
Chickens are serious business here, historically territorial conflict between muslim states in the region are settled by roosters and we have national level competition.
