Inaccurate map mate.

Why, pal?

dude we would have had possibly one of the bloodiest civil wars in human history
plus at that time the Soviets and China would defiantly get involved

Nepal was never under the british empire. I don't think Bhutan was too.

>just without the communism
It would still have been communist, that's not what the plan would have changed. It would have made the USSR more decentralized and continued the reforms of Gorbachev. It would not have had the Soviets just give up on socialism, as they did in our reality thanks to Yelstin.

they supported India because we were allied with the US
it was an alliance based on common enemies

Bullshit
Gorbachev was on vacations in Crimea

Attached: yeltsin02.jpg (292x400, 25K)

Who cares?

Neat history lesson.

I hope that we Join as well

>they supported India because we were allied with the US
Wrong.

Russia won't quit its good relations with India. Russia supported India's fight for independence. They are all-weather friends.

>could have become
>the Union of Sovereign States
It has become. It's called CIS.

Choose your friends carefully

It does not work as expected

have you been reading current events
our relationship with the US has been going down for a while and Russia and Pakistan are joining together
while India and the US are forging close ties

Dunno. For me, it works well.

the Commonwealth is a Regional organization while the Union of Sovereign States would have been a proper Nation

Visa-free travel is kinda working
There are still customs at the border

Those US-Indian ties are not excluding India-Russia cooperation in many fields

>_Sovereign__ States
>proper nation
Sovereign means fully independent. You can't create one nation or even one state with that. People of ex-ussr got what they voted for "union of sovereign states.".
The only way to save USSR was to reform territorial division - dissolve soviet republics within the SU and turn them to administrative regions.

Based Beria already planned to transform USSR into actual confederation and remove retarded commie and atheist shit (this was began by Stalin). Of course, r*ssians being r*ssians, ruined everything and instead we got Khr#shchev

I love how third world nations like Russia because they think it fights "American imperialism" and wants to help them for free.

Wasn't Khruschev a sneaky khokhol? Malenkov was Russian and did nuffin wrong except being commie during Djugashvili dictatorship. Also Andropov had the same plan but has died unfortunately.

>without the communism
There's no point then. The praxis that justifies that union is gone.

Well, the borders of the USSR are very close to the borders of Russian Empire. Something has justified them before. And that's not only about Russian troops or whatever, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Transnistria and Kazakhstan could really form an united country if politicians were interested in it. The rest of republics are irrelevant a bit, though.

>become free
>hey let's go back to being ruled by corrupt plutocrats in moscow
no.

>russian degeneracy and cultural imperialism reduces the little uniqueness those states had left
sure sounds like a great deal

Dumb meme. The USSR was collapsing economically and on the brink of starvation, that's the whole reason they went capitalist you idiot.

The Gorbachev variant would disband the RSFR into bunch of small republic thus turning this shit into a timed mine, this was not acceptable

Trust me central Asian culture was no better then Afghan and rural Pakistani culture
Russian culture was a good influence on them

USSR's gdp grew from 1.2 trillion to 2.65 trillion during 80s. Gdp per capita from 5800 in 1980 to 9300 in 1989
