you learn tuscan, mohammed

you learn Tuscan Italian

i think they learn italian in australia

i am not british

is tuscan mutually intelligible to northerners and southerners?

why do they do that

being a central italian dialect it has similarity with both, though I guess sardinian and sicilian are more distant since they are islands

absolutely no, go to rome if you have to go to central italy, in tuscany they have a fucked up pronunciation

then why is it the standard dialect

it isn't

Neither, you learn Standard Italian, a derivation of Florentine, itself one of many "dialects" / varieties of Vulgar Latin

cultural dominion of Florence in the 14th century with Dante, Petrarca and Boccaccio

central by far.

the average northern from the street generally speaks a better italian than southerns but southerns who educuated themselves on correct pronounciation speak better than northerns that studied pronunciation.

t.expert

you learn the standard version

can you get by in italy with spanish?

Redpill me on Antonio Cassano's Italian.

The people who speak the best Italian are Sardinians, I mean when they don't speak their language but Italian, the people who speak the worst Italian are Campani (Where Naples is) and Burini (The inhabitants of Rome)

we only speak Venetian here

>The people who speak the best Italian are Sardinians, I mean when they don't speak their language but Italian
mmm true, if they dont have an heavy accent ( which they tend to have)

not bad if you consider his starting point lol

Sardinian accents are also extremely easy to understand for foreigners
>5 phonetic vowels
>strong consonants
>all words are spelled out clearly

>go to rome
I hope you're joking, Romans speaking Italian is an insult not only to the Italian language but to human intelligence itself

Romans speak a better italian than almost all the cities, probabily Florene included. i am not even Roman

In southern France many people speak it but not in Italy. Though I had no problems using English when I was there, you should be ok if you go there. Besides, Italy is quite easy and fast to learn.

>italy
italian

Don't get me wrong the modern tuscan dialect is different from Italian as well but Romans speak a terrible Italian and their accent is unbearable

their accent is way better than any other major city accent

Not really, it's the worst next to that of Naples and maybe to the Sicilian ones, Tuscans tend to have bad accents as well but Romans are worse, all North Italians have little accent except the Veneti who sound dumb

>all North Italians have little accent
Emilia Romagna is a thing

>all North Italians have little accent
lol northern italians have heavy accents sorry ambrogio, you can't even recognize northern accents ... you have all your wovels , s and z wrong

terrone di merda

sono umbro ma la verità è la verità , non che i meridionali abbiano accenti migliori eh però almeno lo riconoscno

terrone stronzo

t. Chang Lee

you learn central Italian because more or less they are interchangeable but tuscan is shit, when they talk they sound retarded like flanders from the simpsons

to bee honest you learn Italian from the tv, the place where you live influence your Italian.
> north
you talk like a faggot
> central
more decent but a bit aggressive
> south
you bark
this is Italian in italy. is like the bbc english (rp pronunciation)

polentoni aren't italian, they can't even pronounce the z of pizza right lmao.

italian veneto o nissun italian

all journalists are terroni though

veneti have one of the worst accents tbqh, they always sound like they are drunk

Yes, it's ridiculously close to Spanish. Some Italian languages like Venetian are even closer.

perche semo sempre carighi piu o meno

Roman is the worst sorry, north is a little faggy but it's also sophisticated

>This

I don't know wich romans you are reffering to but all the ones i've met spoke like uncultured trash

>accent

Based on what? You're all accents

sicilian is more similar to tuscan than any northern language.

just learn Greek
