Applefag looking to switch to Android

So Jow Forums, I've been a 19 year old boomer applefag for 2 years but lately got fed up with apple's bullshit.
Urgently looking to get an android phone, like tonight urgently. Basically only requirement is it must cost under $500 and support either android one or be guaranteed to get the Android P update.
I've been thinking of the Mi A1 but it's a little too cheap ($199 where I live), is it decent enough?

buy a Huawei or Xiaomi, Samsung phones are just good cameras with annoying software

I have some $60k I made from cryptos, my parents never buy me anything.
It usually is, I just want to know if the Mi A1 is good compared to other, more expensive phones.

Mi A1 is very good if you not looking for best camera on the phone.

I hate the notch on the huawei especially with the big chin so I guess that leaves me with the Xiaomi.
How is the battery life on the Mi A1? Is it good enough to last an entire day?

Huawei Nova 2i or Mi A1, battery is better on Mi A1, but Huawei has better screen and cameras.
