Will a nation ever adopt Bitcoin as their currency?
Will a nation ever adopt Bitcoin as their currency?
no /thread.
No government ever will because it erodes their power. But the people will when the global meltdown happens. Just a matter of time.
It's only a matter of time before Bitcoin replaces all national currencies.
Liquid. Nose. Keyboard.
>Digital jew
Good goy.
Commiefornia already adopted it
*petrocoin
Bitcoin isn't even usable anymore. The per-transaction delays and fees are insane.
The only reason people buy it is to "invest" in it and as a "buffer" currency of sorts for illicit transactions, because you're definitively not buying coffee with it anymore, it's no longer possible.
This and when it does, all wars will end.
So during and after this global meltdown you expect ISPs and power plants to continue to function to allow Bitcoin transactions? And Bitcoin holders will give people Bitcoins in exchange for what?
Bitcoin is like any other currency. It’s fiat money.
>This and when it does, all wars will end.
Please do us a favor and go join the army. Also, do not reproduce.
bitcoin is far from a curency, as long as people keep thinking of bitcoins value as "how many dollars can I get with a bitcoin" Instead of "how many loaves of bread can I buy with a bitcoin", it won't be a viable currency and will be too instable to realistically use on a large scale.
Yes you are right. We should be talking in generalities. Bitcoin will die eventually unless they can fix it. But there are other better more useable cryptos like Monero and others. We are not limited to just one.
I already served my country and had two white children. Now stop being a fagboy and go fuck your momma.
>the value of any item or material exists because people agree on it
Technically true I suppose
Jow Forums is astonishly bluepilled about cryptos. Bitcoin isn't the one that will do it but one will.
crypto's future is literally the anti-jew in one neat package.
Never going to happen. Corporations are required to use the dollar, because they need to remit payroll taxes to the IRS throughout the year, and the IRS only accepts the dollar.
as a currency? no
as a form of reserves, such as gold? yes
>bitcoin is fiat
Being this retarded. Fiat liberally means by government decree. Get back to your vidya game son. This convo is too advanced for children.
>do literally everything in bitcoin
>convert to dollar at the end to please the IRS's desperate attempts to keep their fiat relevant as they go pink and bleed through their eyes
What this user said
Too volatile, dummy. Uncontrollable inflation. Silliness.
>crypto's future is literally the anti-jew in one neat package.
This is true, that's why Israel is so vehemently anti-crypto.
>Uncontrollable inflation
>inflation
I thought bitcoin was deflationary.
IRS is a scam. We don't need it. How did we pay for shit before the IRS? Lets see if you can figure it out.
Nothing's stopping Bitcoin devs from changing the algo to make more coins after the artificial limit.
I think sweden would be retarded enough

>now the people with the most bitcoins are rich gen x rich men that will never run out of money
That's only because it's new and not widely adopted. It will stabilize as the market grows.
This.
Uncontrollable deflation too. Volatile, uncontrollable in general. If I buy in bitcoin today, nobody knows what my purchase would be worth tomorrow. Big problems with that. Fear, hesitation, slows down economy.
Might change, sure. Too unstable to use unless it does.
Sure, the internet worked just fine during 08-09. People living in dictatorships / war zones still have internet
This. It's possible that the people of whatever nation adopts it in a way that it essentially becomes the main currency of the country, but it would go against any government's interest to instill BTC as the main currency themselves.
>Fiat liberally means by government decree.
Fiat literally means 'nothing'. Looks like you're the retard
