i have decent money for a 23 y/o neet (have about 5k in a checking account and 2.5k in crypto) but i would never dare to invest more than 5-7% of my portfolio in crypto. i dont have the balls to commit bigger. market is too volatile and i'm too brainlet.

that would depend on your age, but id say if you're early / mid 20s you are doing very well for yourself (mainly because you have 0 debt)

1k on bank account, 15k in chainlink with a steady income though

Im 18 years old.

Hmm, I'm afraid that doesn't exist friend, I think you've been scammed
The proper word is "checking"

Cryptocurrencies are my only hope to make it

Withdraw immediately and put 80% of that into stocks you madman.

You could have a million in stocks on a leverage account just following the S&P and making 5k a month.

$5000 in bank
$2.2 million in ETH

Hoping to /makeit/ with staking when casper goes live.

user I think you might have already made it... If you're smart you could live forever with that cash, not super extravagantly but to an amazing leisurely standard.

I've never cashed out. I unironically see doing so silly when ETH is going to become so sought after when passive interest through staking becomes a thing.

eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-1011

Selling now would be a huge mistake.. imo.

Till then I'm living frugally as a NEET

Honestly, with 2.2 million why take the risk?

To me Casper going live is as close to a sure thing as it gets.

I'm in the developer channels on Gitter and the progress made on the testnet is huge right now.

There are few things I would bet against, and betting against Vitalik and his team on POS going live this year is one of them.

The risk is worth it to me, not much else going on in my life right now.

With staking, you can just live on the interest alone which is better than timing the market any day.

If it doesn't work out then thats fine, I'd rather stand by what I believe in and see it out till its end outcome.

Yeah, sure also, if it doesn't work out, worst case scenario is that you're still a millionaire, so it's a safe bet i guess. Good luck

greed. really I stumble around with my hard earned 5k in crypto and this huy sits on 2 million. you can live like a king almost anywhere with that kind of money. 98% of europe is a playground with that money.
go out and live. lately too many calls apocalypse on crypto. there are no real new btc buyers just whales fighting, sooner or later they will short it to 2k. atleast thats what they say

>ITT: PEOPLE WHO WILL MAKE IT

Attached: 100bitcoin.jpg (674x674, 31K)

This guy fucks. In 5 years some scumbag will call you lucky.

that level of risk-aversity sounds very feminine

That isn't feminine, it's common sense. You fell for the meme that "real men" have to risk ruining their lifes to make it.

i am risk averse and i think i'm wise to behave in such a way. i recognize that i'm not a financial/crypto expert. i dont want to blow all my fiat currency on an asset that could potentially depreciate at a moment's notice. im better off making stable, reliable 7-8% yearly returns with my current investments and dabbling with crypto on the side just for fun and potential gainz

a-a-am I doing it right?

Im more like a "this is my chance" guy. I can get serious money from crypto or end up with nothing, Im getting closer and closer to 30 so at this point losing the lil I have is no deal breaker for me.

Considering how high crypto can pump, you don't need to put much money into it to make serious gains. You can play the high-risk-high-reward-low-possible-loss game.

>$200k+ on crypto
>$2k bank account

6 figures crypto, 44€ bank acc

do you realize that 6k is the price where btc stops being profitable for miners as of now

That's the point where the serious competition between Bitcoin miners starts. Only the ones with the biggest amount of reserves and consistent commitment to the cause are going to be left. That happened several times.

big players will never let it go below that to be quite honest

Im almost 3k$ in debt, theres some interest on it, but not much and its manageable. Couldnt get a job until now, so the whole year, been living om savings which I had alot of. But i might get thrown out of my apartment if i dont pay in a few months.

Have 10k$ in crypto. Should I cash out and repay the debt? Its some credit card(1k$, no interest for 6 months), some other debt. Or should I wait for better times, earn more through crypto and then cashout?
