Its a meme. Nobody actually holds it, and the ones that do just keep trading it back and forth to make it look like there's an interest. Its basically a stable coin meant to stick to 50 cents forever without needing centralization to agree on that price. We all agree its worth 50 cents so we use it like Tether to store value.
