OK, I have some time now. Basically, I went to Consensus with a friend of mine (he paid for my ticket) because he's promoting his ICO and I was there to help him out (I am involved with the project).
What happened is this: I met that JT Rose guy. Who's that? He was the youngest guy on the Microsoft Azure panel yesterday. He was with some absolute blockchain autist who was asking him questions about the Workbench project and knew a shitload about crypto in general. So I awkwardly interrupted them and started asking about Cryptlets (the blockchain autist knew about that one too, he was truly a wonder to listen to). To cut a long story short: JT didn't want to reveal to much about it but what I got out of him is that Cryptlets is working very closely with a certain smart contract-related project (didn't specify which one) and much more will be revealed in coming months. I swear to God guys, I was shaking for several minutes after that and am shaking right now writing this because it's obvious as fuck it's Chainlink. We will all make it bizbros.

But ChainLink is a scam. It's copying a similar project which was created years ago that no one ever used because decentralized oracles are useless in practice:

Honestly, he was incredible. My first instinct was to judge him because of his looks (nerdy, glasses, fat, red face) but once I saw his enthusiasm for crypto and his knowledge, I was just kinda amazed by it. He wasn't there to shill one of his bags, he was there just because he loves this space and wants to see it thrive. At least that's the impression I got.
Also, JT is a really cool dude and I think he sensed I was looking for a specific answer so he threw me a bone to chew (that's my theory). Definitely the highlight of my Consensus experience.

I can take this thread and turn it into real info. What happened yesterday is very big for chainlink. Clovyr is a project conceived by Amber Baldet of JPMorgan. IF you recall JPMorgan is part of IC3. She has taken part of many events with ARi Juels, Andrew Miller, and Sergey Nazarov. The reason she left jpmorgan to start clovyr is because she sees the potential of decentralized apps. Chainlink will be the decentralized oracle network offered in clovyr. This is an ex jpmorgan girl with connections up the ass that will be offering chainlink to the world in an easy to understand graphic user interface.

I will post some references below so you can see how interconnected this project is w/ IC3.
