Understandable for modern Taytos. I think cheese and onion and smokey bacon are still fine even if they're not as strong as before but salt and vinegar really took a nosedive. I usen't dare eat them without a drink on hand in fear of irreparably burning my mouth.
Personally I used to find the taste of old cheese and onion off-putting, the taste of cheese was too strong. I like them now but I'm not sure is it the lesser flavour or did I just grow into them.

Hard to say. There are some people who will be mad because reunification might lower their welfare payments but other than that I'd say the average Irish person would be glad to see the island joined together, although worried it might lead to a return to violence.

Now that you mention it I don't think I've ever seen them sold in the Republic, not even close to the border. I presume both Tayto companies must have a gentleman's agreement not to supply to businesses outside of their respective countries?

It certainly appears to have hit a bit of a soft cap in recent years, and they didn't hit the heights that were predicted before the last election, but they are growing at a steady enough pace.
Compared to a decade or two ago they've done quite superbly.
Main thing for them is their day of being in government is coming down the tracks. Growing number of lefties, they have the majority of younger voters in their pocket, and with the decay of Labour they are preventing any proper government from forming that doesn't involve a FF/FG coalition or themselves as a junior party.

Well, to be fair, there's no coherent reason to keep the old British constituencies except maybe cities and so on (and the power bloc in those can be destroyed by dumping refugees, immigrants, and social housing in prot neighbourhoods).
Whereas on the other hand, if protestants are prevented from dumping DUPtards into the Dáil to make a spectacle and obstruct governments with their swing vote, prot voters will have the ability to influence the direction the ruling governments take by casting their vote for the pseudo-socialist neoliberal globohomo parties or the openly neoliberal woke capital globohomo party.

Aside from like the 20% they are pulling in.
They are either going to stay static or grow with the way the demographics are going, and staying static is enough to frustrate the traditional political process.
Public aren't likely to put up with a decade or more of FF and FG sort of being half in bed and half at war with each other.
If things stay the same, and FF certainly don't want that, then they are bound to get a foot in the door eventually.

SF's power base is in the north, and it's held hostage to them by demographic combat. The democratic fiction that people select who rules from a broad pool of candidates and parties can only approximate reality when the main ethnic group is secure enough to break its vote into factional portions.
The interest of SF lies in keeping partition going, or in the event of a united Ireland, making sure that the constituency boundaries in the north have as many constituencies as close to a 50/50 split as possible.
