I'm already 21, is it too late to start college...

i'm already 21, is it too late to start college? i have the funds to sustain myself for a year ( luckily i'm from europe)

I need some of your insight bizbros, even better if you have experiences like mine

No, 25 is late - but otherwise it's worthless anyway.

What do you mean user? What is the best alternative?

> spend 100k on social studies
> spend 100k on crypto while learning to trade

you're retarded lmao
academic education is literally useless unless you plan to follow through with university and a high level degree like a phd
otherwise you're flushing money down the toilet.
learn some discipline, do something with your life, travel, invest, open an online business
any of those things is guaranteed better than throwing money at """"""education""""""" just to line the jews pockets

>babbies
no one gives a shit what age you go to college, jesus christ
>t. 25 yo boomer working in a field completely unrelated to degree

I cant get a properly good job, only manual labour It fucking sucks
I just want an office job

nigger have you ever been to a uni before?
theres all types of people there of all ages trying to make a better life for themselves
fuck off with that 25 shit

Study finance

I'm 23, getting out of the military soon and starting college. Why the fuck would it be too late? That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard.

Lmao fucking retard
How old are you, 15? That's not how It works
All' those things require some knowledge dumb fuck

this is what Jow Forumstards actually believe

>spending thousands on textbooks that are already free PDFs online

no way user,
college is great to fuck sluts. Remember A's B's and C's earn degrees.

For fucks sake. How many times are we going to have this thread? God fucking damn it are you all retarded? Are you seriously all 70 IQ? What the fuck makes you think it's too late for college at TWENTY ONE fucking years old? Does the three years really make enough of a difference? Is taking three years off from not going to college really going to affect the rest of your entire life? Good fucking god I have no idea what is wrong with you people. There are people in their 40s going to college and you're sitting at home whining because you are self consious about people making fun of you for being the "old" guy in school when everyone else is the exact same age as you. You're just making excuses. You want someone to tell you "No, its too late buddy give it up!" so you actually have an excuse to not go and continue to do nothing with your life. I swear there's no fucking hope for some of you idiots.

thank you

Amen brother!

But what I have to add to it as well, apart from the fact that you're right.
I can understand somehow the thoughts of those people (if they are not trolling)
Society gives you a lot of pressure and makes you feel like you have to archive everything untill you're 25 and be a millionair by the time you're 30.
Nobody talks about the people who failed several times before, or who started out late. And 21 is still a fucking baby!
I am 24 and I am in the second semester of CS right now. And yeah, indeed, I feel a bit old. But who gives a fuck. You do it for yourself nigger! Remember that! You have plenty of time left!
Get some Gary Vee in your head, bitches!
That's what helps me!
And try to have fun while you study. Speaking about making contacts and fucking bitches.
Sadly I am a fucking retard who hasn't even seen a pussy in his own country so far and propaply never will and also won't get this degree since I am also a brainlet. But OP I hope you do better than I do. I think you get what I mean. You do, you. Don't let anybody stop you.

Kek, this. I started college at 22. I'm studiying BM/Econ. I'm honestly happy I started a little late: I'm more responsible/mature, people respect me more because of my age, I made a lot of money from 18-22 so I don't have to worry about getting a job (unless I want to) and can focus on studying.

Lmk if you have any specific questions about Economics, Business management etc.

Mother fucker, your 21. You life hasn't even started yet. 21 isn't too late for anything.

Oh, and statistics too I guess. You have to really love number crunching and math if you go for a major in statistics.

Bro - if you like statistics and math look into ACTUARIAL work. it sounds boring as shit to those who arent good at math
im a CPA (finance/accounting) and i work with some actuaries. their work isnt incredibly difficult, but you need to have the proper education for it
actuaries make fucking bank and you never have to deal with a single fucking person

Lie about having a degree.
Apply for php/full stack dev. Hope no one at your new job knows jack shit about programming.
Become a master of cut and pasting stack overflow answers.
It's pretty stressful keeping up the facade, but it worked for me.

Yep, this is true. I know some actuarians too. It's not for me though: it's bit too math heavy and there's not enough strategy.

I'd suggest engineering (most fields, mechanical, electrical, financial, biological) math and cs, cs, physics, eco, eco cs, eco maths, bio. But the truth is you can learn all of that if not faster by yourself.

Unfortunately this is true.

If you still insist on getting into college, then do yourself a favour - avoid "horizontal & broad" degrees like computer-science / mathematics / statistics. yes they are good for a strong quantitative foundation, but trust me on saying that gravitate towards acquiring domain knowledge (economics / psychology / medicine etc.). Business/MBA is not technically a domain knowledge - its a cross-disciplinary stream of accounting / applied psychology / finance / economics. And it can't teach you how to build a successful startup or achieve FIRE or build small-scale businesses with real cash-flows. MBA is good at giving you a career boast if you can 'fit in' to the alpha-male mentality.

Go for accounting/CPA + economics combo and learn some programming (python) on the way. You will be golden.

26 yo workind and studying user here.
Try not to do some bullshit business degree. I did a joint Business-Politics degree, and the business part was mostly common sense.
Doing a part time Finance Msc now, that is worth it, real knowledge. Economics is okay but make sure you are interested in it otherwise it is very painful.
Also make sure to choose a useful fucking degree, otherwise it is really not too late. Friend of mine is 27 and just about to start doing his 2nd BA (richfag, cant decide what to do with his life). In the end if he will be successful in his field at 40, no one will care when he graduated. Nevertheless, 21 is really cool, dont worry about it.

Also you are paying for the paper mostly, world is like this, try get into a top tier one and DO INTERNSHIPS, extracurricular activities like Treasurer in a club or sg.

This user is very right. Learn some programming along the way, every major financial company is looking for it.
Accounting/Finance+eocn is a good combo.
Which country?

Dont listen to this fag, unless you sure you dont want to be a wagie. (Very hard, gotta be disciplined, have good ideas, bravery).
Being a wagie for a bit is good for gaining experience and having a degree is a must for that

OP here, thank you guys, i feel less alone and a failure now. honestly i think i'm starting college next year, i spent so much time researching shitcoins and wasting time with vidya that i could've graduated while working ffs

What are you looking to major

i have a degree in cs, my job consits of me sitting in my office all day and reading mangas while occasionaly helping someone with excel or plugging in speakers. Im comfy

Not to derail but, I'm an aspiring dev. Had internships with major corps etc. I fucking loved excel tasks. I'd automate part of some ones job in a day, I'd see them get all happy, then look at their face when they realized how replacable they are. When they realize they had the tools in front of them for years and spend countless hours copy pasting and manually entering data and graphs for nothing. I chase this feeling. How do I become a comfy excel-only dev?

Dude, I didn't go to college until I was 27 and already had a kid to take care of.
I work remote in the comfiest dev position now.
It's never to late to do anything you want to do with you're life.

does what uni you go to really matter? how good was your university ranking wise?

I'm 25 and I'm just starting college in my country because I dropped off high school at the time. It takes some time to get used to it, for me, instead of hiding my age from my classmates I decided to own it, I dress accordingly and act more responsible. I've noticed that now they respect me for being bold enough to try.

something related to finance or economics, it's full of new courses these days
that's fucking inspiring, godspeed anons

Brainlet. There's people of all ages getting education. As long as you learn something from your education that relates to the kind of work you'll be doing your age doesn't matter. It's literally illegal to discriminate based on age in the US

21 is the perfect time to get into college, you're probably more focused on what you want in life and aware of the pitfalls of independence. I honestly think it's a complete waste to start college immediately after high school.

Def not too late. If you like stats I'd recommend biostats + comp sci minor. Lots of job openings at the moment and I doubt that will change.

Besides studying finance or IT what other fields do you recommend?
I am looking into philosophy as well (Sergey style) but don't know what I would accomplish with it.

Stop listening to these autistic fucks that haven't ever been to uni. You'll find fucking 50 year old people at uni. You're decades from it being "too late". Go, do it.

Attached: 139670.jpg (1000x627, 71K)

OP I am 25 and I want to start UNI next year, I will be 26 or 27 freshman

you are 21

Am currently 21 and in first year, stop being a mong and do what you need to do, stop worrying. If you want to go then go.

I have a physics degree how do I go actuarymode. Physics is poorfag shit.

extremely based

philosophy is very hard, but i had friends who ended up working in banks and they had philosophy degrees.
