Lol, taiwan was treated far less harsher by Japan compared to what Japan did to Korea. Japan went on a cultural genocide spree on Korea and for Taiwan they implemented a slower assimilation strategy and tolerated taiwanese culture as long as the kids went to schools that taught japanese and the taiwanese didnt rebel. You could say the koreans if they didnt rebel as much compared to the taiwanese, the japanese wouldnt had treated them worse but that doesnt explain the disparity in how they treated taiwanese culture and korean culture. If Japan had the policies they had on Taiwan of gradual assimilation then the views of Japan would be on par with how the taiwanese view japan.
