I can speak some German, but I have absolutely never perceived the language to be pleasant in any of its forms, be it the written or spoken and I am afraid no single telly show could ever change that. Almost everyone speaking it sounds harsh and uneducated, which is an awful experience that is not present in English or French, therefore I'd rather stick with the two.
