I burned out my freshman year of college so I spent the next two years traveling through western Europe. I spent about $16,000 in total and it was well worth it imo

I don't really get the point of travelling, especially when everything is so crowded, crass and fake nowadays. I used to travel overseas a lot with my family, but my perfect holiday now is just sitting on a beach that's 30 miles from where I live on a warm, sunny day. It's a LOT cheaper and less hassle too.
