I think i can tell in the name of most Poles. Generally the most hated nations are gypsies, all kinds of muslim shitskins, so called "people" from "russian world" living east to us and jews. Nothing good comes from them all to Poland. We hate jews and russians incomparably more than Germans because we associate Germans mainly with money and civilisation. Yeah, it is true that Germans killed more of us than jews and russians but who cares if we are a client of their economy, river of money is flowing here from there. Even i work in a Polish company that produces stuff for German companies. We are afraid not really of death but mainly of poverty, isolation, corruption, destabilisation and degradation.

Not really, there wasn't such a big gap between the elites and the common people in western European countries. In early-20th century Germany most of people, be it elites or peasants, could read and write, peasants (or more like farmers) lived in decent houses made of bricks, had amenities like toilets, electricity etc., while in Russia most of people still lived like in the early neolithic and zemlyankas were still common in many rural parts of Russia.

We hate the poor and those who want money from us. We love the rich and those who give us money. Simple as that. Poor people have very hard life in Poland, for example homeless. Nobody helps them here and they are being constantly pushed around and humiliated. So they escape to Germany because they know that you are more generous and compassionate for smelly losers. People here generally like the USA but the main reason for which average Pole hates it is that they want us to pay them for weapon f.e. We spit on our government for it that they agree to pay. And it is literally the only reason we dislike the USA because we have no rational reasons to hate this remote country for anything else.

I can tell you this: if you were arab who was born in Poland and who was going with us to school and living with us from birth, you would be just one of us because such a person talks, moves and thinks the way we do. I met so many of your kind in school and University that have been born and raised here, speak fluently polish and have a typical polish family but say they hate getting associated with Poland and they don't want to be thrown in the same bucket as them. The other way round. Those who left are usually super-patriotic gopniks from small towns and villages. Emigration today when we are a member of EU is completely different than emigration before we entered EU. Before we joined it, only well educated professionals and Poles with money could get visa to Western Europe. Today even homeless, unemployed and criminals can move there and they do indeed. Although nowadays number of Poles coming back to Poland from West is bigger than number of Poles migrating outside. Further expanding on what Serbbro was talking about Vietnam was a war of containment. We had a "domino" idealogical doctrine to stop the rest of Indochina and Indonesia etc from falling to communism. Big picture here, not little picture. It's a bit of a misnomer to call it the Vietnam War - even though that is what it literally was. It was a war for the entire region, which we got REALLY pulled into when France epically failed to protect.
