NPC non-player character is basically an idea that's been floating around the chans for a while that there exist people who don't actually have an internal monologue or the ability to think. They lack individuality.

I don't know why it became such a meme recently but I think the joke is to imply other posters are NPCs, implying that they are incapable of self awareness or critical thinking. It's a pretty stupid meme and not visually interesting or original so I doubt it will last long.

Whether there exists humans who truly have no thoughts is an interesting idea and I guess it's possible.

Jow Forums found some non-scientific research that Jow Forums inferred as saying 75% of ppl don't have thoughts and are just robots going through the motions of being human.

Jow Forums has always tried to force this type of meme. First it was Drones, then Bugmen, then Soyboys, now with this pseudo research they turned it into the NPC meme

Because Jow Forums is dead and full of NPCs they rehashed a Wojack instead of making a new meme. Just like an NPC would.
