Americans remember 9/11 because it is by far the worst terrorist attack in all of world history, in terms of the number of dead, dead which include people from around the world. 1) 9/11 killed nearly 10x more people than Beslan school siege. Beslan school siege doesn't come close. 9/11 is THE terrorist attack like WWII is THE war
