Even the Dutch part of Flanders look better than most of French Flanders (except Lille). All the pros of French Flanders are thanks to Lille. (and Artois will never ever going to be a decent province) It's a place with an ugly landscape, too far away from the border region, no notable cities.

When I was a teenager I used to spend the summer abroad to improve my language skills. Been to Spain, France, UK, US, Germany. Never had any problems socialising or anything anywhere, but in France. In France, everyone treated me like shit because I wasn't too good at French.
