What is a (master)node? I’m not really tech savvy and English isn’t my first language and google search only gives me explanation in nerd language

I'm holding TNT, looks like a good coin to stake- it's essentially a lottery, but the price is right too. I'm not staking, I keep on an exchange and accumulating by day trading, have a good look at this- price back to $0.2 or $0.3 this year, you can x2 or triple your money plus whatever you make from the mn. Not shilled here (think I saw one thread on it) but def a good prospect for respectable gains

It's essentially a server that helps secure and decentralise the network and rewards you in coins for doing so. Great for passive income.

basically you keep a ton of your coins locked up and dont trade them away, and they reward you with additional coins
sometimes you have to configure a program and keep it running, other times simply having the amount in your wallet is sufficient and you dont need to be online. every coin is different

Actually hadn't heard of this,cheers. Looking at the website it looks like they have a use case but they also go on to say that companies already use the technology, why would they swap to TNT? Because it's on a blockchain?

I've just been making more masternodes with the coins I get as a reward, get about 400 a day now. Compounding interest is amazing.

Best part about it is that it's still completely unknown to your average crypto investor, it had a little rise in price when it first got listed on the masternode websites when the ROI was so high (Because it was brand new there was hardly any nodes on the network)

Once the average investor learns of it's existence it will skyrocket. It also just needs a decent exchange but there's a dev fee of 5% on the block rewards meaning they could pay for a big exchange easily. Not only that it also means the devs are incentivised to keep the project strong over time rather than just dump on everyone early

Pretty much, data proof is the whole point of tierion though there isn't a consensus if the token will have future utility or just "inherits" value from the project itself- I wouldn't go all in obviously but I'm pretty confident from the real world use that this project isn't just vapour, and will deliver some gains

I am actually very very interested in this, supply chain is looking great right now and it's in a fucking tasty looking dip. Already have enough coins for a BlockArray node (Only heartbeat). I got into the BlockArray masternode beta testing. Looks seriously undervalued currently - they seriously know their market, trucking goods.

Fusion just announced master nodes yesterday, but they arent capitalizing on the fad as there is a cap to the number of nodes needed. 5000 FSN for a node with 25 percent anual returns.

2 fsn per block, block every 15 seconds.

Only 250m market cap atm

How many coins needed for a masternode? Price looks quite high for the coin itself so I'm guessing the masternodes will cost a lot too.

Coins that exist purely to be masternode coins, yes they are usually just the devs hoping to piggyback off Dash's growth since introducing them.That's why I only invest in masternode coins with a use case.

Was literally at 1 sat a few weeks ago, picked up a few bags. Now hovering around 5 sats, has some seriously stupid growth potential. 1 million coins for a masternode so still very cheap, worth throwing some cash at just in case it pulls a Verge.

We all know that the stupidly high ROI isn't sustainable. As more masternodes start the block reward is shared out more and more.

It's just a reward for early investors, usually the ROI settles at something realistic and the price increases due to the lower amount being received by each masternode.

apparently MRJA has like a 200% ROI on masternodes but i'm not sure how that's possible since no one uses the coin and it's not listed anywhere afaik

Says the annual RoI is 300%? That means the inflation will be insane. Which is also why XMX price will keep dropping.
Are there no 5%-10% RoI forever coins like ARK? I'd rather have one which doesn't inflate like crazy

We bought xmx before it initially hit 1k sats. Some of them mined it before it was on graviex. The pools are lackluster tho and it's a paid group. Some really smart people in there though, interestingly it's not the admins who provide the best info there.

TOMO will have 10-15% annually starting in Q3 without inflating the total supply (locked tokens will be used as incentive for the first 7 years)

I have a BlockNet masternode... it's making a lot of money... like $50 a day.

I also PoS stake Decred. That is also a nice return, like 1,5% a month.

TRAC has a different model to masternodes but the same idea where yuo stake your TRAC and for your reward you get paid. Their mainnet will launch in Q3 where you can start staking and their Token reward model will be audited by a thrid party end of this month which shows how confident they are in the system.
