Anyone who knows what EOS actually does would realize it's way more of a niche market, a narrow scope of use cases than Ethereum.

It's an unproven concept that will most likely end up getting taken over by cartels. It makes a huge emphases on "oh they'll just get voted out if they misbehave" but by who? If you look at the community 90% of them are totally retarded. Most of them probably won't even vote, and those that will could be manipulated just like in real elections. I think there is just too much social interaction involved for something like a blockchain, which is supposed to be objective and trustless.

EOS is centralized in concept but they put a little asterisk there saying you can just vote the block producers out if they misbehave. Yeah we could do that with our politicians too but Pelosi, Feinstein, McCain, Schumer etc keep getting re elected and have been blasting us in the ass for decades.

Eos system isn't a (((democracy))) as we understand it tho. Majority rule is garbage, but the more you're actually invested in the coin the more seriously you'll take the decision making process and the more voting power you actually have. EOS being prone to centralization and cartel takeover is a natural consequence of its consensus algorithm. IOTA is different because it only uses centralization as training wheels until it gets enough TPS to sustain itself normally.
