Calgary Vs. Edmonton

Albertabros check in. I want to move out west and live in one of these cities. Honestly I am leaning towards Edmonton simply because I prefer their sports teams and I like the river valley, but I would appreciate any advice.

Calgary is superior in every which way. Edmonton sucks.

Calgary is said to be actually a nice place
Edmonton not so much.

Why?

>caring about anything west of thunder bay
The country literally gets more irrelevant the further you follow the trans canada westward. Alberta, Sask etc are lucky Ontario and Quebec dont pull the plug on their vassal, welfare leech provinces.

Literally miles and miles of dumb fucks as far as the eye can see. Useless

The fuck are you on about, frog? Quebec is the biggest welfare leech of all the provinces, by far. That isn't my opinion, it's hard fact. No wonder the separatist movement is dead, Quebec couldn't survive without gibs from Anglo Canada and they fucking know it.

>vassal, welfare leech provinces

You have it backwards my Luxembourgian friend.

edmonton is an actual shithole, don't move here, go to calgary instead
these

based newfies getting things back on track

Newfoundland was doing okay for a few years, but they got fucked over bad by the oil crash. The only reason they aren't getting equalization payments now is bureaucratic nonsense and it is very likely that they will go bankrupt and need to be bailed out by the feds.

Newfoundland has never been and will never be "on track," it's just not a sustainable province.

don't care virgin

You guys keep saying this but no one is giving a good reason. Is it because the Calgary skyline looks shinier?

Why would you move cities if it isn't work related?

no, it's because edmonton is a cold, dirty, depressing shithole full of commieblocks, flips, indians, and chugs
and the parts that aren't like that are just full of strip malls and cardboard houses, calgary isn't much different from the 2nd part but at least they have a nicer downtown and mountains closer by

You telling me there aren't any immigrants or natives in Calgary?

>You telling me there aren't any immigrants or natives in Calgary?
there are but not nearly as many as edmonton
most of calgary's immigrants are hongkongers, not nearly as bad as flips, barely any chugs either

I kind of like flips, but (Canadian) indians are a problem.

>I kind of like flips
trust me
you won't if you move here

Why? My experience is that they are extremely hard-working people. Not smart like east Asians, but they accept their station in life, work hard at what they do, and don't cause trouble for anyone. I had a team of flip housecleaners and was heartbroken when they went back or got deported or whatever.

It is somewhat work related, as there isn't much opportunity where I live, but I also just don't want to spend my whole life living in one place. Canada is a big country and I think I should take the opportunity to move while I'm still not tied down.

Which Canadian city is good?

>I had a team of flip housecleaners and was heartbroken when they went back or got deported or whatever
Did you fuck any of them?

Lots of them. It depends on what you are looking for.

Nah, their boss was an older lady who seemed to keep them all on a tight leash, plus even the younger and moderately attractive ones seemed like they probably smelled bad.

bomp

STPeach is from Calgary. That's all I know about either of these places.

They both look exactly the fucking same. New World "culture" and "architecture".

Edmonton
>better economy
>lower cost of living
>river valley
>higher crime, more gritty
>colder winter
>more down to earth people

Calgary
>economy went to shit when oil prices fell and never recovered
>higher cost of living
>closer to the mountains
>traffic is fucked
>pretentious and smug population
>cowboy LARPing

Edmonton was kinda shitty back in the 90's and early 2000's, but now has clearly surpassed Calgary

Yeah, I like this answer.

Arr rook same

if your work is government related - edmonton
otherwise calgary, if you move there try to find something close to the c train, and avoid the north east

williams made a deal that they wouldn't have to make equalization payments, but it limits their ability to collect them

usually in business they come in and work hard, but once one reaches management level they only hire other flips who are lazy knowing their fellow flip wont fire them

STAY OUT OF MY FUCKING PROVINCE YOU FUCKING FROG

it's more likely to be an ontarian
only french that move west of toronto are homeless to vancouver, they're 20% of street people there

>are homeless to vancouver
or strippers and hookers to Alberta and Saskatchewan
Not that'd I'd know this personally or anything

This

I am from Halifax. I hope I am still welcome.

>20% street people are frogs
>75% injuns

Yo mick, why aren't you passed out by now?
