Were your parents born in the same country as you?
My parents weren't, they both immigrated here when they were 16-20. My dad has assimilated but my mom is just so stupid, she has such a stupid third world mentality it's disgusting. She didn't even go to high school in her own country, but she is like 50 now and DOESN'T EVEN TRY to live like a first worlder, she just does stupid shit like pray to sky people like a retard and scream at me
I hate my mom so much I hope she dies soon honestly
My fiance is from the US and I'm scared my future kids will think the same of me. That I'm weird, stupid, and just out of place. And that I can't speak english properly.
Aaron Lopez
>Are you a muslim? nope
If you aren't stupid it isn't an issue user. The issue is my mom is stupid. But it's important that you try to assimilate imo.
This doesn't mean hating the country you came from or wiping it from your identity. But there's a time and a place for heritage, not ALL the time, you know
I'm not too dumb. And I will try to assimilate, that's the whole point of moving somewhere else I suppose. I'm studying about US history, geography, politics and trying to learn about pop culture (which is the hardest one to be honest).
It's just something that really worries me like crazy. That people will think I'm odd or dumb, especially my own children, and that they'll hate me for having a different cultural background.
Hunter Bell
You'll be right because if you do anything dumb it can be written off as being an Italian thing
My parents were born here My grandparents weren't though, grandma was French and grandad Spanish
Logan Reed
>somewhere in latin america? Nope India
Also I don't hate India, if this thread comes off as that.
I feel like the Hispanic women that come to the estado unidos are more hard working than my lazy cunt of a mom desu. Although I can see what you mean, many don't try to assimilate, but why would you need to when like 1/3 of Americans speak Spanish?
My ancestors had been from Chile since always, except my great grandfather who was form the US. I'm 100% white 1/64 irish now right?
Jason Morgan
Hating on your mother is not cool instead of acting out you should reflect on her struggles you privileged fuck
Mason White
tb perfectly h its pretty hard for someone whose ancestors have been in Chile since always to be 100% white. The amount of race mixing that theres been since the colony even in the highest of social stratas is just way to high. In the south of Peru and the whole of Chile a sizeable chunk of the population is a direct descendant of Sinchi Roca or some other bullshit inca, three of your presidents have been so i would check that if i were you.
Gabriel Johnson
maybe she should reflect on my privilege
fuck that dumb cunt lmao go back to India
Luke Allen
It was obviously a joke lol
Nathaniel Roberts
Yes My Grandparents were My Great Grandparents were My Great Great Great Great Great Grandparents were I'm 100% Colonial American
Liam Foster
I was a loyalist, fight me fag.
Gavin Scott
>she just does stupid shit like pray to sky people The overwhelming majority of Americans are religious, if anything being a fedoratard is not assimilating. >and scream at me I can't say I blame her.
I kek'd.
John Rivera
>India. You have no idea how good you have it. All currycels living in the west are guaranteed loyal wives through arranged marriage, that's about 60% of the problems average people have to deal with in life removed for you.
Dylan Torres
my dads Australian, they met in london and South Africa is a shithole
Jacob Cook
I never said my ancestors were Patriots I said they were in America during Colonial times
Easton Parker
Why the fuck would I want an arranged marriage when I see the mental cunt my dad got paired with
How does that make sense
Aiden Martin
Cause the mental cunt you end up marrying by choice will divorce you later. At least this one won't
Cameron Powell
yes
Easton Lee
youre not a thirld worlder and then dont go there retard
Owen Russell
>This doesn't mean wiping it from your identity. It acutally does.
Ryder Murphy
My mother is from Latin America but my father is from here and his family has been here since forever.
