Probably the Melbourne Museum for traditional museum action with dinosaurs and mummies and shit like that.
Our museum network has sort of developed to be thematic so the National Museum is about the national character, the War Museum is about... not sure... the Queensland Museum in Brisbane is about Queensland animals, palaentology and anthropology, etc. etc.
We have a lot of really good little museums that focus on a place or a particular element of Australian history.
