The companies and businesses that are associated with this program are supposed to hire applicants once their year-long internship is over. Of course, it's not the same as a university degree on certain career or anything.
It doesn't work like that. They will just "hire" another "internship". Why would they pay salary when you can get someone for free?

Unless it's some regulated field like electricity etc the interns sure do the same work. There actually many companies that run entirely on these interns.
This shit benefits companies since the tax payers are paying the wages. In some cases the government even gets money if they take one "intern".
You now see it's more beneficial to recycle interns than just hiring. This only works in low skilled fields tho
