>Needles have been found inside strawberries in two more Australian states, police said on Monday, broadening a health scare that has caused supermarkets to recall brands and farmers to dump fruit amid the peak growing season.
>Seven brands of strawberries in Australia are now believed to be contaminated with needles and pins, according to police reports, prompting warnings from authorities to slice the fruit before eating.
>Both of New Zealand’s biggest supermarket chains decided on Monday to halt Australian strawberry orders and MPs have suggested a temporary moratorium on all Australian produce until the matter is conclusively resolved.
>The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is also due to hold an emergency meeting to discuss a possible ban on Australian fruit products.
Thanks. The government has final say on what we report domestically but we get free reign on international news.

Because yeah, I definitely want that needle story in there.
I suppose it has the right zing of gossip terror that gets the attention of people who also like to eat fruit, you've got to sell copies and clicks right?

Convince your government friends to release propaganda about the superiority of Thai fruits, you'll be a patriot through banter

Jow Forums has really ruined your mind if you think that is a remotely rational statement. 99% of agricultural businesses are Australian owned and the highest percentage of foreign land ownership is represented by UK investors. The land owned in part by Chinese foreign investors is almost entirely land way out in the bush not even remotely viable for large scale commercial produce production.

>Poland suggests 'Fort Trump' as U.S. weighs military base lmao, please be accurate.

ah yes, worthless land no one bothers to visit, far from prying eyes

>copies and clicks Would be nice but I'm actually radio and TV. Though we do stream online.
The tourism and industrial promotion sectors already do that in spades.
How does that even happen? Is the company called Strawberries & Sewing Co.?

Yeah, nothing much to do with farming and more to do with the hopes of striking it rich with minerals. Companies like BHP and Rio Tinto have basically squeezed out competition and state governments have started to allow foreign investors to buy stupidly overpriced plots of land with promises of striking it rich. It's mainly a way for Queensland to generate tax revenue since foreign businesses are hit with a whole slew of excess taxes and smaller Australian ran operations want nothing to do with the land. American investors also own roughly 2.55 million hectares of this slice of the pie. The idea of a gold rush makes investors go a bit crazy.
I wonder how the average Polish person feels about this potential military installation.
