I'm a little concerned about our American friends...

I'm a little concerned about our American friends. This is literal wage slavery and your right wing politics and media are spending billions to fight against the idea of having a living wage.
How have you not revolted yet? The French slaughtered their monarchs for lesser transgressions upon personal liberty than millions of Americans are expected to swallow and accept.

>tip tax

no such thing as cap on success

people really need to wake up

>Tip-tax
That's not very right wing

we have the ironic and unfortunate culture of believing we live in a strict meritocracy and that social darwinism will select for those of highest merit
thankfully i dont have to talk much to the huddled masses but they have the most terrible slave mentality

fucking hell, all that cold war anti-communist propaganda really did a job on their working class.

It's a tax for the poor so it was probably created by the right wing. They don't seem to take issue with taxing the poor as much as humanly possible.

Minimum wage is a bad idea, what you need is strong unions that keep employers reasonable

you get fired for joining union

sounds like the unions aren't very strong then, maybe the government should step in to do something about that and then step out when they're done

end up same as minimal wage but worse

Take me home with you

> The French slaughtered their monarchs for lesser transgressions upon personal liberty than millions of Americans are expected to swallow and accept.

Youre an embarrassment

7.25 United States Dollar equals
10.01 Australian Dollar

>maybe the government should step in to do something about that
They did
That's why Unions are fucked in America

Begause that would be gommunism :DDDDD
Dog bless ameriga

t. retarded OP thinking Australian dollars are equivalent to USD

Literally the same in Holland, I worked as a grocer and only made 5€ an hour. Moved to Switzerland and I make 60.000€ working at a warehouse.

>I’m concerned about our American friends

Yeah right

The problem isn't that americans have low minimum wages. It's that they have low wages, so low that they have had to create a legal minimum to keep companies from cutting wages even lower. Where minimum wages are now is still not enough to live on, so minimum wage workers have to work multiple jobs. It's really disturbed.

>That's why Unions are fucked in America
t.expert on America
They are arguably one of the most powerful political forces and have been protecting terrible employees forever. NYC has shit infrastructure because the union employees couldn't even maintain an erection if their life depended on it.

Back to Jow Forums.

Christ you're fucking dense. People are able to work full time and still not afford to live. That's fucked, regardless of any exchange rates.
There should be no job in the country where working 35+ hours a week doesn't fully cover rent, food, electricity, health care and misc. expenses.

>expecting the American government to do something sane and good for the common folk

Absolutely insane.

And it's the exact same in most EU countries retard. Only Switzerland and Norway have livable wages.
