It's obviously highly subjective, but I think Britain, France, Sweden, Mexico, South Korea and Japan all produce quality cinema.

Wait, we actually produce films?

>Mexico produce quality cinema
based

t. Pajeet Patel from Helsinki

wait who are you again? ah yes, here
imdb.com/list/ls000042282/

>disliking horror flicks

>Japan
This is honestly embarrassing

The only part of their film industry that matters is anime

They haven't made a good 3D film in like 4 decades

Wow, that’s some third world shit Australia.

>now
yes, but Kurosawa, Miike, and Beat Takeshi are all gods

Based and redpiled

The latest film there is from 2013. Nothing in 5 years in their database.

And what the fuck happened?

That one where the girl is a ninja was pretty good.

>implications
it's not a "dislike", i was just inb4-ing the memes

an increasingly feminized culture, which is funny, considering politics in Japan is generally opposed to "proper" feminism

they got fucked on the culture front, simple as.

>Canada
Wow. I had no idea they made so many movies. I honestly couldn't name a single Canadian film.

then OP's map lie

most of their movies are co-productions or indie films methinks?

>nigeria isn't at least orange
fake news

Hmm
It wasn't called love exposure was it?

That's the only Japanese film I've watched recently

Redpill me on Japanese cinema lads
What good shit has came out lately

Belgians have these quickly low budget family dramas. Super comfy tier.

South Koreans make good thrillers and decent drama and even some good comedy.

nature documentaries...
Of those 10000 a lot of them are things like that.

>lately
damn, you had me at that. i have no idea what came in 2018/2017

By lately I mean the last decade

ehr.... Jojo live action

our film industry is mostly behind the scenes, a fuckload of films are shot in vancouver, and pretty much every modern film set in a mountainous/prairie area is shot in southern alberta, toronto is also quite a common filming place

we've only been producing shit these last 30 years, i'm ashamed

Trailer Park Boys, bruv.

None, America totally dominates cinema, the rest make shitty nihilist movies. Maybe the UK and India (?) but idk

I thought that our film industry depended enterily on government subsidies, so when Macri cut all of these it would have only been logical that our film industry to go to shit
But it is still pretty normal. There are still like 2 or 3 national films at cinemas at all times, so I don't know what to think
Most of these are (and have always been) in association with Spain, France and Italy though

nah

The USSR (pbuh)

not true, I love french comedies... omg, I have looked it up and it turns out the toy with pierre richard is 42 years old

Italy and France according to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_number_of_Academy_Awards_for_Best_Foreign_Language_Film which don't count the Anglophone countries.

>I don't know what to think
that Kirchnerism lies?
argentinian cinema was great before kirchnerism anyways, with a solid tradition of both artsy, good Oscar baits and kitsch-shit fun-as-fuck flicks
the good thing is that, as soon as they are successful, filmmakers don't run to USA and cause brain drain in your country. gotta thank them for their patriotism

An increasingly consumerist culture mo(r)e like

Synonym, because 50% of the market is female now that women participate in the labor market.

This can't be right.
Pretty sure the Czech republic produces more movies annually than the rest of the world combined.
t. knower

USA has a bigger industry on that *wink wink nudge nudge*
but considering Georgia is included as "1,000 films PER YEAR" and imdb only lists 587 titles IN TOTAL, this map is bullshit as f

"say no more" ;)

what the fuck movies come out of nigeria

Our cinema is unironically good and intresting.
Other than that:
Denmark
Uk
France
Japan
Poland
Russia

Aaaaand
Germany!

youtube.com/watch?v=8bmwHFXtc3M

PER YEAR ? how is that even possible

British
French
Scandinavian (they can't do anything alone is always a swedish + danish production)

Soviet Union. I'm not even kidding.

France, Italy, USSR, Spain (not a good movie in 30 years tho except for based Torrente), Hong Kong, Argentina, Japan and South Korea.
