>found wallet with everything on it including several hundred dollar bills
>immediately give it to the lost and found
why am I such a goody two sh*es? Would you do the same?
Found wallet with everything on it including several hundred dollar bills
You are a good person man, people like you make the world worth living in, and are a reason why you have a good and stable society. From a thousand kilometres away, thank you man.
yes
Nope. But I'm a pretty big degenerate so it shouldn't be surprising.
No, I would’ve taken some of the money before turning it in, if only because our cops suck dick.
Because no amount of money can buy a clear conscience.
you should've used the info in the wallet to find the person and give them their shit directly but otherwise you did nothing wrong
If the ID was a white person I'd do the same
I gave it to his uni's lost and found, so they will likely contact him as it contains his student card
thanks for the kind words
I would.
I would.... Keep the money and throw away the rest
nerd lol
Here's the results from the global lost wallet experiment. Canada was not included so The Star and the CBC conducted the same experiment in Toronto.
17 out of the 20 "lost" wallets were returned. That's 85% making it a close 2nd best in the world behind Helsinki's 92% return rate.
>nerd lol
>Zurich 4/12 returned
No surprise
Portugal is less developed than Brazil or Slovenia, wow
Peak Canadian
The lost an found will take the money and give the rest to the oener
You make the world a better place. I wish there were more people like you
Yes
how do you think we got rich nerd? generosity?
i worked at a grocery store while i was in high school. found probably a dozen wallets while returning shopping carts. never opened any of them or took any money. one time a wallet i returned had already had the money taken from it and they almost fired me. the price of having a conscience
You're a good man
southern europeans are such awful people
>stealtugal
Don’t worry OP. A real goody two shoes wouldn’t humble-brag about how virtuous they are on a forum, attempting to get praise and adoration.
The best kind of good person would have done the good thing a quietly gone about their bussiness.
give it directly you fucking fag
lost and found staff just pocketed the money
Maybe the staff was white and not Filipino
I found $20 in a used book I got at a thrift store last month.
Wow, Indians are pretty good
I remember when I found a lost wallet on the street once. I went on an info hunt that eventually led to me leaving the wallet in the guy's mailbox, but not before learning his place of residence, where he worked (a family business), the fact that he had a girlfriend, that he attended a nearby college, and his phone number. Since he dropped it on the sidewalk in the middle of rainy weather, I could also infer that he had no car.
I found RM200 lying on the floor at uni. I asked the people around it and they said it's not theirs. Gave it to the uni security office and filled up a report. Next day, get a sms from a cleaner thanking me for finding her money. Feels good. Then get email my short term scholarship was approved. Karma is real.
192 wallets is a very small amount to prove something. theres a lot of things you have to take into account
>Portugal 1
>Spain 2
i bet they will blame the gypsies, meanwhile romania returned 4
It's just a Reader's Digest experiment for fun. It was never meant to be a scientific analysis.
Cutest poster on this site
Next time take just take a hundred dollars and leave the rest in his wallet. That would teach the owner a lesson that each time he leaves his wallet behind he will lose money. Because you did not even take a cent now there's no incentive for him to learn a lesson.
See if I can find their phone number somehow and give them my address, give the cash back too and hope for a reward.
Not like svientific analysis takes big data sample either
One of our famous wallet stealers
Or pocket a fee of around 0-50 depending on how rich I think they are if I go out of my way to give it to the cops
That was unironically based and redpilled of you. Be proud of yourself.
>Would you do the same?
I would keep the money (and other valuables) and leave the wallet where I found it
>don't even have to edit portugal on this one
Nice
Yeah, always returned both wallets and phones.
There's people I would kill if I knew I would get away with it 100%, it's just that I hate the act of stealing more than anything.
Yeah, it's just a totally dickless thing to do.
creepy how much you can find out just with someone's name
