Since right now every tourist hot spot is empty I would recommend San Juan Del Sur and the nearby beaches if you re into that kind of stuff. Leon and Granada are pretty much dead towns. There is a self imposed cur few after 7pm to asfixiate the economy.

You need a permit and a reason to own a gun,
Typical rules apply, no full auto, has to be kept on safe spot, etc. Guns are expensive, ammo not so much.
I'm not a gun person but I went to a shooting range once.
You need a car to move around the city and besides bars and clubs there is not much to see for a tourists. There no important historical monuments and the such.
It was nice before the government went fully commie.
I make 800usd before tax per month. I live with my parents to save money and help them with the bills but I could easily get a 10-15 years mortgage and a house.

Not lately anymore. There are marches and protests every day but not with the same intensity as 3-4 months ago.
The gov has been on a witch hunt, chasing all opposing leaders and charging them with terrorism ( with a new law passed in the middle of the protests to crack down the opposition).
Right now every one is boycotting the government to kill it economically. Business are not paying taxes, everyone is withdrawing USD,etc If we continue on this trend, the central bank will run out of USD by December - January.
They will have no money to pay their thugs, police, army, etc and will eventually fall under its own weight.
Don't think maras are just regular gangs with tattoos that will stab you for a Huawei cellphone. They are also into "blue collars " activities : money laundering, fraud, etc
Sandinistas are just a rebranded socialists playing at capitalism. Hell, the protests started because they needed to reform the Social security system(reduce pension, increase the tax amount on payroll) the keep it alive since it was running on a deficit for 5 years in a row.
