Wars are not meant to show off your "military might". They are meant to achieve specific political objectives, and you have clearly not achieved them. Your own words more or less state that you have entered into a war with no chance of victory. And in the present day, despite your military might, all the deaths you have caused, and all the billions you have poured into the Middle East, you now find yourself in a worse position than the one you started with.
