Do schools in your country still teach cursive?
They fazed it out some years ago here. Lucky I went to a private school for the first nine years of education.
Do schools in your country still teach cursive?
I was taught cursive in the 2nd grade. Most of the brainlets forgot it but I can still write in cursive very well. No one in college can copy my notes because of my secret cryptic writing method they're too retarded to understand.
NO.
I learned it and wrote it idly because I longed for cursive.
I was taught in 3rd grade and then never taught again. I'm getting back into it with Russian now though.
>I'm getting back into it with Russian now though
hey, same.
I unlearnt cursive for a while because the public school demanded it.
in Primary yes, after you can choose whether write in cursive or minuscule
I never learned to write in cursive
bump
>that 'r'
Lol
Its the only thing that gets taught here. What even is the alternative?
>forced to use cursive for elementary school
>teacher: "you'll have to write your papers in cursive all the way through college"
>first day of middle school
>teacher: "yeah you're never using that again, nobody wants to read that gay shit, also computers"
Writing in print like an animal
Print. Just the letters separately.
the duality of man.
cursive is based tho
Isnt that considerably slower? I dont even give a fuck about aesthetics
Imagine if all texts were all written in print, non print is subhuman and corrupts literacy, every letter must be immaculately written down.
>Isnt that considerably slower?
Apparently not. Same speed.
I do give a fuck about aesthetics though.
>Imagine if all texts were all written in print
I don't really have to given the state of education.
Or you just write like shit.
My cursive is beautiful as your elected leader is gay
They taught it for one week here in the first grade and never went back to cursive.
>Fazed
I see they stopped teaching spelling too.
Failed my pen licence 3 times because of this shit
Yes I think so. Last time I went to vote (in my former school) there was still a cursive-written panel in the room.
It may or may not be slower but not knowing how to write cursive gives you away as a retard.
That's the only way people write here.
>in some countries with latin/Greek based alphabets people currently don't write in cursive
>fazed
phased
Anyway, no. Students are taught "linked script", or at least we were when I was a little tacker, which is a sort of half-arsed version of cursive hand-writing.
My writing was so dreadful that I once had to rewrite (not resit) a three-and-a-half hour exam paper. After that, I taught myself cursive over the summer. Still not pretty, but much better.
I was taught cursive in 3rd grade. I kept on writing in cursive until middle school where I got bullied for it and stopped.
My cursive is unreadable to anyone other than myself
i write in half cursive half non-cursive because naturally is cursive for me but some people can't read it
Yeah but I never learner how anyway so can't write and can barely read it
