We are literally so fucking close to the edge for a global great depression at the hands of the US.
All it needs is a little push with everyone having so many loans, Trump instigates another trade war and boom the entire house of cards collapses
He flexed his nuts throughout his campaign now he's got crotch rot.
Melania won't get near his involuntary discharged crusted trousers.
Honestly, Japan owes us considering how much America helped rebuild Japan after WW2 and invested in their infrastructure and economy.

China is capitalist at economy.

that's no merit for China.

Well then why didn't he? S-400 have been proven to be a fucking joke and everyone knows Putin wont do shit since US ground troops are even in Syria. This is just false posturing to make Trump seem like he isn't an egotistical sociopath.
Mexico has not paid for any wall, why should japan be scared?

According to the book, Mattis ignored his order and drew up an alternative plan for the airstrikes, which Trump later agreed to.
Oh no. My anime... fuck off Trump.
Why are burgers pretending to be upset over alleged Syrian chemical attacks when they take no real issue when Israel does it or when they do it to their own troops?
That alternative plan was a fucking joke.

As opposed to every company CEO requiring an incestuous relationship with politics in order to compete?
At least they still have the CPTPP, even if only two countries other then them have ratified it
Man, Australia should have more trade deals with Indonesia. All we seem to do in that region is act like retards on holiday, import shitloads of instant noodles and set up third world tier immigration detention centers. There are over a hundred million people right on our doorstep and we barely take advantage of any of it. Seems a bit short sighted.
This fucking retard is gonna give us another great depression, Jesus Christ what's wrong with Americans and Germans, always on the verge to destroy the world, fucking cancer
>why would China betray Japan
maybe because you tried to genocide them and never said sorry?
hey zhang can you make us some sushi
cheers
We do take advantage of it, we had an extremely good relationship with them in terms of our meat and agriculture export until our media frenzy over halal slaughter made them sign import deals with China and India.
Relations are slowly improving though because our Government learned to not act like retards that fearmonger over the votes of ACA watchers rather than our farmers and we're getting better deals with Indonesia. Think we make the largest share of their meat trade.
I'm sure your mum doesn't give you enough of an allowance to afford fast food outside of the subsidies weekly chicken tendie rations.

Because you had enough balls to tell him to fuck off. Asians don't, Abe will bend the knee just like Moon did.
Zizek must be pretty happy then. He's the only philosopher to get Trump right.
Epic
I used to work in a factory which imported meat to Indonesia and management was always complaining about government making it pointlessly hard with red tape and lack of manpower in the sectors that need to authorise shit. That and farmers sperging out over not getting a large enough cut of the already relatively large slice of the profits and subsidies they receive. A bit of a situation where one end of the process is speed up while the other end is bogged down.
There are also brand license deals which favour exports from Germany of all places over Indonesian brands. That's another market to tap into but for some reason big business is getting a sweet deal on importing goods from the other side of the world instead of obtaining rights for local breweries or importing from somewhere closer where our dollar is stronger. I just don't really get it: incompetence or greedy politics and kickbacks?
The two closest Chinese places near me are owned by a Vietnamese family and an Anglo family, respectively. They both sell suspicious looking sushi on the side, kek.
Mate, find something more fruitful to do with your time. Adolescence only occurs once then it's gone for good.
>imported meat
exported meat*
I hope we can become better freinds with Indonesia, theocratic government aside it's a pretty cool place and a good neighbor.
And those instant noodles of thiers are top fucking shit.
>incompetence or greedy politics and kickbacks?
It's both, most of our politicians aren't exactly our best and brightest, they're just the average cunt. This is both good and bad (the good is they have a bit better perspective on how people actually live here, the bad is the average cunt is a dumb cunt that lacks perspective and thought for the future which explains our road system).
You're right that there's big untapped markets in SEA but in a way you could consider it a good thing, our boomers were too stupid to look at untapped markets which gives people like you opportunity to take advantage of that. There's a lot of people doing that and making money now. Our countrymen were living in a bubble here and thanks to that people now are taking advantage of that and becoming rich through import-export.
It's why a lot of big outlets have started going bankrupt.

japan will bend the knee. there is no way they will give up the security the USA gives them versus having to deal with China alone.
anyone got that collage of americans tweeting Japan deserved that earthquake bc of pearl harbor?
I like how you're all shitting on Japan for gravitating towards China instead of America for pushing them. Basically Trump is trying to do to Japan what America did in the 80s, namely screw over their economy to try to decrease their trade surplus. Guess what happened, Japan ended up in recession and the trade surplus remained. Now America is trying to do the exact same shit when Japan is in an even weaker position to cave because they're already dealing with a stagnant economy and a rapidly aging population.
They've been left with no choice now but to get closer to the world's second largest economy and it's all because of America going full retard with its "America wins everything or else" trade policy.
just give up, you guys are doomed
reality sucks but that's the deal with the devil you made. you banked your entire security on America watching your back if you ever get in trouble with China. China now is economically, militarily and diplomatically more capable then Japan. you need America to cover your back and Trump is going to take advantage of that reality. bend the knee, you guys can afford it. you did it with the Plaza Accord, you'll do it again.
>japan will bend the knee.
Japan has been on its knees for the past several decades because of the last time America made them bend the knee. They never got back on their feet and America wants them to bend again. Someone explain the logic of forcing one's own ally into a corner when your economy is doing great and theirs isn't.
This
You either suck the americans cock or chinks cock
>namely screw over their economy to try to decrease their trade surplus
More like we open our economy in an effort to improve relations (especially postwar Japan), then we get backstabbed by state-backed enterprises within this """free""" trade and have to slam the brakes.
China did the same, now China is paying for it. You can't trust industries that are heavily subsidized by the state, which can print free money. This is why Canada tariffs our milk, because we heavily subsidize the dairy industry; I'm not offended one iota by their choice. When it comes down to steel, cars, electronics, and a host of other exports, this all adds up. However, Trump is an idiot for going after Japan right now, just like he's an idiot for going after the EU and Canada. The real enemy is China and we need something like the TPP to fix that collectively as a trading bloc (which, go figure, is something Japan is pushing hard for)
Mexico is already building the wall for Trump because your economy is too weak for you to say no.
>why would China betray Japan.
Why wouldn't they? You're only the biggest competing power off their coast.

Is Trump greek ?
Fuck me I forgot about that one time he just threw all those bread crumbs or whatever into the water

>More like we open our economy in an effort to improve relations (especially postwar Japan)
Actually your country put the brakes on that as soon as Japan started making better autos. You used national security as a pretext to wage a trade war that Tokyo quickly caved on because of their over reliance on exports to the U.S. That put them in a recession they never fully recovered from. And now your government is trying to blame them again while their economy is too weak to handle giving you any more concessions.
The irony is that automation has killed more domestic jobs than outsourcing ever could but you still continue to blame other countries.
because the one making the knees bent stands to gain. america want's allies under them, not equals.

You must have a selective memory of history since you didn't mention their dumping practices, both in steel and autos. This is exactly the mechanism of state-owned industries fucking over trading partners, by the way. The state prints fiat money, gives it to protectionist industries (South Korea / Japan model, now Chinese), those industries make products that are dumped on a trading partner at a highly discounted price, then that industry gains market share in the foreign country. The volume allows that industry to eventually pay back the loan to their government, but even if the debt were to bubble, it's still a win for them. They already got the market share.

Chief of Staff John Kelly has called Trump an idiot and also crazy:
“He’s an idiot. It’s pointless to try to convince him of anything. He’s gone off the rails. We’re in crazytown,” Kelly is quoted as saying at a staff meeting in his office. “I don’t even know why any of us are here. This is the worst job I’ve ever had.”
We also want them to just build more auto plants here instead in other countries.
That's why all of this shit boils down to import tariffs, which they can avoid by building more plants here.
>my worldview
Ah yes the United Nations OPCW is "my worldview" you proxy nigger.

If you're truly American, I'm deeply ashamed of you. Stop eating a diet of sensationalist shit news. It doesn't have any nutrition.
You're not looking further back enough. Japan recorded its first post-war trade surplus with the U.S. in 1965 on the back of rapidly expanding export-oriented manufacturing. It continued to mount in the following two decades, peaking in 1986 at 1.3% of America’s GDP, according to IMF data. America started to grumble in the early 1970s about Japan’s rising trade surplus. But its was the dramatic increase in the world price of oil in the aftermath of the oil shocks of the 1970s that triggered the American trade war against Japan.
The lightening rod was Japan’s auto exports. Post oil shocks, fuel efficient and well made Japanese cars rapidly gained market share in the U.S. at the expense of American auto makers. By 1979, Chrysler, then one of the largest American auto makers, was about to fold. It needed a $1.5 billion bailout loan from the government to avoid bankruptcy. Suddenly, there was a crescendo of complaints about Japan’s unfair trade practices jeopardizing America’s national security and putting American workers out of work. Sound familiar?
BASED TRUMP
>“I don’t even know why any of us are here. This is the worst job I’ve ever had.”
We should make him work fast food service
>America started to grumble in the early 1970s about Japan’s rising trade surplus.
>Suddenly, there was a crescendo of complaints
>Suddenly
You're contradicting yourself here a bit. The earliest article I posted there, although published in 1980, studies the period starting 1976. The "grumbling" clearly didn't work since Japan continued on a path of dumping steel and cars.
You are right that better fuel efficiency and the oil crisis did factor into Japanese market share. I'm willing to give that to them. But years and years of dumping behavior is how you erode trust in a trading partner. It is unearned market share propped up by fiat-fuckery. The US is guilty of this in certain industries too, it's not like I'm picking on Japan unfairly here.
I'm sure he'd still feel more like he was part of a functional and cohesive system
Bankrupts multiple casinos, only a Greek can pull of that bad of money management, so you might be on to something.
>We also want them to just build more auto plants here instead in other countries.
Yeah except they already do, almost no Japanese cars are imports you moron. Just as retarded as your gatorade Jim Jones wannabe.
why do you praise China so much?
are you chink leaf?
provide a non-biased source for your accusations. the. Americans dictating themselves what they consider unfair trade practices is putting the wolves with the sheep. Americans have had more WTO complaint as the respondent then as the complainant.
My point is Japan was coerced to appreciate its currency at the Plaza Accord of 1985 but America’s trade deficit with Japan still didn't go away, and by then it had also become irrelevant since there wasn't much America could do with Japan now mired in recession.
The lesson both Japan and China learned from this case is that America’s trade deficit with Japan didn't disappear even though the Japanese government caved to all of Washington's demands. The lessons learned from the U.S.-Japan trade war are don’t yield to U.S. pressure as Japan did, and don’t become solely dependent on America as an export market as Japan was.
You think you're bringing these powers under heel when you're really forcing them to work together to resist your policies that would have them cripple their own economies and growth.
sorry broski, but reality sucks. China has nukes and a higher military budget so they are advantaged. China has a higher PPP and Nominal economy then Japan, so again, they are advantaged in this respect. China also has a seat as a permanent member of the UN security council, which again, is advantaged over Japan diplomatically. facts hurt, deal with it weeb
