do you have hard water in your country? here in America it's quite common and quite bad for your skin and hair. is this common in your country or is this another hallmark of the third world? how is quality of tap water in your country?

No, there was a law passed in the 1980s or 1990s because there was a whole movement around it.
So they're not allowed to add fluoride to it in the municipal water treatment plants.

It's usually heavyly mineralized water pumped from underground reservoirs. Lots of calcium and salts that can fuck up some pipes and appliances.

Rural places often use bore water. Dunno if they shower in it though.
Hell yeah. It is pretty common in fact but, unless you live in a far away community in the highlands near a mine, it doesn't tend to be yellowish.
The only time I saw yellow water was when they were fixing something in the water pipes down the street and I didn't know..
