I've never seen anyone with a pool in their yard here. Heating the water when the air temperature is below 10°C 90% of the year gets ridiculously expensive, so realistically speaking you'd only be using it for like 40-60 days of the year. It's considered a complete waste of money. Everyone live very close to a body of water here anyway, so you'd rather head to the sea, fjords and lakes in the summer either way.
