Can I live comfortably in Vietnam with 100k euros?
Can I live comfortably in Vietnam with 100k euros?
What does that even mean? You will run out. Do you have a business plan in Vietnam?
Probably asking if he can survive on that money until he dies (presumably in 20-50 years).
The average salary in Vietnam is around 150$. Check the average Vietnamese quality of life, check the real estate across the country, and do your math.
this, or until I learn vietnamese and be able to do a low quality job while I use said money for my own personal expenses. I've heard Vietnam is a very, very cheap place that's why.
Vietnam is a communist country still so you'd be better off in Laos unless it also is communistic
I've considered the same but for a slav country because vietnam is too different and I'll never learn the language.
$150 a day? I get things are cheaper over there but I can't fathom living on so little.
Dude I can live on $150/day here in Canada. People in Russia make $600/month.
actually, what teh fuck am I saying. I am studying right now, so I could get a job there (medical profession, i've heard SEA countries are lacking in that department). So I could get a shit salary while practically living off those leftovers.
Obviously not $150 per day you melt.
Also slav girls are hotter than chinks
You only need 5-10€$ a day for food
rent is the bottleneck for affordability
Also people will think you're a pedophile if you're white in vietnam.
>greece
>white
even so, I wouldn't go there for my pension.
Try Thailand. I've heard the language has dead simple grammar if you have the ear for the different pronunciations.
cringe
A month, obviously. But the Greek guy has to take in account he definitely won't go to Vietnam and live by the same standards of home, he'll live the high-middle class life at least, cause that's what developing countries do to you, so i think most of that 100k should be invested in something, maybe some real estate in some touristic area may turn out a good investment.
Bitcoin is good this time of the year, Ethereum even moreso.

What do you mean by this? I'm not rich and I don't live like upper class either. My dad will pass on two real estates to me; both worth more than 100-150k euros. I was thinking of selling those to be able to move to London or some shit and build a life there, but the more I think I about it the more I realise this life won't get me much. Plus, I could withdraw cash from the bank now that I have plenty.
Eh, any caucasoid will be considered pedo there.
That's even worse for the pedo rep. Musk called a local hero there "pedo guy."
I wouldn't even try to find a job in Vietnam, dude. I'd try to get something online that pays dollars or euros. That's how you live like a king in a country like Vietnam.
>online
like what? I don't have any skills in coding or any CS at all. Nor have I invested in anything or do stuff like streaming or blogging. I suppose I could teach English or Spanish in Vietnam or something but dunno if I want to throw my degree up in the air.
Yes, i guessed you weren't, i'm saying you won't live like an average Vietnamese worker once you're there with that purchase power and that cost of living. Also, ask some Vietnamese what are their biggest problems, you have to know if their healthcare system is shit and how much private clinics cost, same goes for schools if you'll have children, things like that.
Per month
Also, cost of living in Hanoi is 1100$ average, so you either go live in a shitty neighborhood or go to some minor city, where you'll likely won't be able to go by with English.
Might be worth learning computer skills t b h. That combination of first world remote pay with third world cost of living sounds amazing to me. I just haven't found the balls to try.
hm?
If I moved to Vietnam I'd want to live in Da Lat, with its nice cool high altitude climate in one of those colonial French homes. I doubt it gets much comfier than that.
Yes, Da Lat has everything, architecture, amazing nature and weather. If there's a decent presence of westerners too i'd seriously consider it.
Actually I am under the impression that there is a significant western expat population there. Probably not a huge one but of course Da Lat is a smaller city to begin with.
It's probably enough to buy a bar or something which if you manage it well will give you a decent income.
Depending on the economy of the city it could be retirees or youngsters.
I'm not even memeing for the sake of le ebin Jow Forums memes, I'm genuinely considering this way of life.
Depends on how much revenue a bar can make. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a lot harder to be profitable there where alcohol is probably dirt cheap.
Not to mention you'd have to be permitted by the government. Dunno how all that shit works but probably tons of tax.
you need 100,000 euros per month to live comfortably in vietnam
Certainly you won't get rich by serving the natives. If i had to buy a bar in a developing country it'd be either in a tourist trap or nothing.
Who cares?
You're the pedo guy, but they're the wage slave.
I easily got a $2k/month job in Moscow as soon as graduated uni, before I moved to a nice country of Canada
>Laos unless it also is communistic
It is
What degree?
We need more russians in Canada.
