At least I know I am not alone in my situation. Yeah it’s proper gick. The past year and a half has flown by. Finished my leaving on the 16th of June 2017 and started my job here on the 26th of June 2017.
All the people I know are in college but I decided not to go because I had no courses that interested me. Maybe the civil service will pay for me to go to college when I am 23 or something.

Basically living for the weekends and getting black out drunk. I have bought all I wanted and am now just sitting on my cash like a cranky aul cunt. Can’t even meet people my own age because all the people in my office are 30-50.

Terrified I am missing out on the prime years of my life...

I've found that when you're NEET time tends to slip away quite easily because you have no fixed events on your calendar or day-to-day schedule. When you have a job and other responsibilities, time management becomes a skill you just have to learn.

I've it done by 3 professionals, people who've worked for years and had many jobs and everyone has such vastly different ways to layout and what to say on it, I don't even know what is even remotely presentable or right to say

Yeah that’s the only thing I got out of TY fo be honest. The rest of the year consisted of me and my mates sitting in the computer room for triple classes playing flash games and shite. Lad it honestly isn’t as hard as you made out. I got a job at 19, ten days after finishing my leaving because I wrote a good CV and was confident and calm during the interview. You just shite on about how great you are and what skills you have. I said I was proficient in excel, word etc. That my hobbies are sports and computers and that I am good at taking instructions and working as part of a team. You need to get your foot in the door of some call centre job like I did. From there I have been able to get into the Civil Service and I am currently on the panel for 2 jobs. It’s getting your foot in the door that is hard, but it’s not impossible. Hell, even try and get a job in spar or super valu or something. What sort of shite are you applying for? IT manager with no prior experience or qualifications?

I lied about past work experience. I had to do an internship for college but prior to it, I had never even applied for a job before. I didn't want potential employers knowing this since it would show I'm lazy and hinder my chances of getting a placement which I actually needed to progress in college (and also to have for when I graduate, realistically it was about time I got something to have on it). Hence I made up that I had a retail job since that's the kind of work that most people would have around ages 16 - 19. I said it finished over a year prior to my application so they wouldn't be able to ask for a P45 as proof, I was prepared to say I no longer had payslips and used a fake reference. Luckily for me, they never looked into my past employment at all so I got away with it. I know others who were checked out in different companies but they were actually legit so it didn't matter. I also lied about knowing one or two programming languages that I actually don't know but knew wouldn't be needed in the job. Ultimately, it worked out nicely. I've had one interview in my life which was successful and now I have legitimate good experience for when I graduate
