serious thread. People laughed at the thought of btc reaching 10k, we went to 20k. 100k sounds laughable right now, but we know btc has more left in it. Will it actually ever reach 100k? I'm going t set half of my portfolio in btc from here on just to be safe, i learned my lesson from last btc bullrun and alt massacre.
yes, it will, in few years but after there will be literal world collapse since around 15 million BTC are stored on cold wallets and never move. when it will go above 100k people will start to cash out, and guys like sminem will unironically become world financial elite
Liam Sullivan
BTC will be one of the only coins to survive the coming decades.
Even $100,000+ is a extremely conservative estimate
Isaiah Bell
Yeah, i'm sure about it. Don't forget the next halvening in two years.
Connor Rodriguez
If there is another financial crash Bitcoin will easily get to $100k.
Owen Foster
It'll be there by this time next year. Yes I'm serious. You'll see it at a million in your lifetimes.
Jeremiah Nguyen
>If there is another financial crash Bitcoin will easily get to $100k.
Care to explain why would a financial crash cause Bitcoin to go up?
We used to buy our house for 71k$ when I was young, somewhere in 1998-1999. This year it was sold for 314k$ in about same condition we bought it. You can look for prices 10-15 years ago and compare to nowadays. Everyone knows fiat is losing value because of inflation, at same time everyone knows crypto only goes up due to scarcity. Would you switch to alternative system when you see traditional doesn't work anymore?
Xavier Torres
It won't OP. Not because the idea can't be worth that much, it's just that BTC doesn't have much of a future anymore. I would've said "yeah absolutely" 3 or 4 years ago. I would have to be a fool to say that today.
Ryder Garcia
Probably
Austin Long
Well inflation is only going to account for +50% on that, which is still a lot, but the bulk of it is basically just your house mooned
Nathaniel Kelly
>it's just that BTC doesn't have much of a future anymore Wrong
BTC will eventually hit 100k; however, the media is doing a good job of preventing it from doing so while they profit off pump and dump scares and scandals.
Ian Rogers
>thinking that the masses think rationally
Nolan Nguyen
BTC is dead, it will never hit 100K
Bitcoin(BCH) on the other hand could easily get to 100k in a few years...
Tyler Wilson
What makes you say it's dead (besides being owned by Blocksteam that is)?
Michael Smith
You're not even putting in any effort anymore are you?
Anthony Sullivan
I'd genuinely like to see the Blockstream fud dispelled. I always see the issue avoided on here. And no, I don't give two shits about Bcash.
Noah Flores
>crypto only goes up So these are the brainlets that are left after a crash
more. 3 mil 2020. just sit back and relax. whole market will boom. everyone makes it.
Kevin Sanchez
Truth response: Not if BTC continues to lose market share and power to other coins like it has been.
Juan Gomez
no, but ETH will reach $5000.
BTC has no development community consensus, the scaling war damaged BTC's future beyond repair and it will slowly die off while other coins replace it.
Nicholas Baker
this would be true if it could actually deploy successful hard forks. but BTC is now cursed to never be upgraded, only through shitty soft forks that barely even work, the network will deteriorate until it's useless because bcore and roger ver have a fucking death pact with each other.
Cooper Jackson
Probably not but I wouldn't doubt 50k
Grayson Cook
>inflation accounts for 50% of that >but the bulk of it cuz moon
I love trading against you idiots
Ayden Bell
Bitcoin is worthless and totally gay - W.Buffet
Ryder Bennett
As far as I can understand miners fucked up Bitcoin by not voting for the changes which became the Bitcoin Cash fork. Bitcoin Cash tech is more in line with how Bitcoin has always worked and Bitcoin is going to use some new, radically different method. If the lightning network works then any number is possible thanks to fiat inflation.
