Why do the Chinese even pretend to be communist anymore
Jacob Davis
Liam Long
*Socialism with Chinese characteristics
Whatever that means
Ryan Parker
*Behind the scenes*
Andrew Phillips
maybe it's efficient for a strong oligarchy
Aaron Sanchez
that means it's capitalism when it's about my shit and it's communism when I want to take your shit
china is a fine place to travel but not for living, a lving dystopia
Alexander Stewart
Control the means of production - on a global scale
Ethan Robinson
Looks safer and comfier than those in India desu. I live in a textile town.

Is it true that people in Hong Kong are trying to find ways to leave the city before China finally annexes it ?
Daniel Barnes
Are there welfare payments?
Ryan Richardson
the chinese are hardworkers
Asher Reed
What's the alternative?
Daniel Clark
not all people, usually the younger generation want to do it but those people have no skills or money to make the immigration happen.
some folks here are positive toward the political status.
But sure I want to move to a place like Hong Kong except the housing price is normal and no natural diaster, bonus for no niggers
Jack Hernandez
WRONG
A significant part of their economy is state-owned. However...
China understood that competition is the most important and beneficial aspect of capitalism and that competition is possible without not private ownership.
In sectors like banking and communication China has multiple state owned corporations competing with eachother to provide a better service for the Chinese people.
Justin Adams
>I want to move to a place like Hong Kong except the housing price is normal

Jeremiah Campbell
Housing and austerity measures, overcrowding and job options largely being taxi driver, real estate agent, insurance agent and credit card sales person.
Zachary Wilson
o-okay
that does not sound too good now. however even if I move to singapore, I won't be able to find jobs, I heard that the companies and government put their citizen as first propriety so foreigners cannot steal the jobs
HK is decent, jp is a nice place but I cannot find job due to foreigner.
Landon Ramirez
>I heard that the companies and government put their citizen as first propriety so foreigners cannot steal the jobs
*inhailes*
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Lucas Davis
>Why do the Chinese even pretend to be communist anymore
Because like any Marxist will tell you, the transition to Socialism and finally Communism requires industrialized Capitalism as its former state. The problem with China's revolution was that it was not an industrialized capitalist economy at that time but an agrarian one, so the Communist party of China decided in its wisdom guided by the infallible science of dialectical materialism to transition to industrialized state capitalism first.
Hudson Ramirez
>PICTURE OF GUCCI STORE PROVE THE COUNTRIE POLITICAL SYSTEM DON'T BE COMMUNIST!!!
Camden Rodriguez
>I heard that the companies and government put their citizen as first propriety so foreigners cannot steal the jobs
Funniest thing I've read all week.
Benjamin Wright
it means having the best of both worlds and being based
Parker Robinson
Working hard?
Leo Barnes
How ironic.
Hunter Anderson
Chinese communism ended with Mao's dead.
Current their system is capitalism by bureaucratic dictatorship.
Zachary Phillips
To be fair, Marx did say that Communism was the next stage after Capitalism and that a nation would have to be Capitalist first for it to work properly. Argrarian socialism is a disgusting failure and the Chinese saw what it did to the USSR and studied very closely why it collapsed and realized they needed to play the long game which China has always been good at. Whether they are right is for destiny to decide but just because they aren't autistically anti-capitalist doesn't mean they have abandoned the idea of communism.
Benjamin Williams
East Germany was like the only Iron curtain nation that was self sufficient, do you think it could have worked in the long run?
Gabriel Garcia
To save face and because you don't change a brand when it works. Why would they change the name just because of something as trivial as their model not being communistic?
Benjamin Long
we are also pretending here
nothing have ever happened, so why changing
Kevin Bailey
Maybe it's easier to justify the one party rule, clamping down on religion and shutting down of free speech?
Asher Anderson
Taipei?
Lucas Wood
East Germany was also in deep debt and the people wanted to flee, some even risking their life to make it to West Germany.
Eli Reyes
Gucci Gang, Gucci Gang, Gucci Gang...
Jason Price
>clamping down on religion and shutting down of free speech
that are useful tools
Jaxson Jackson
I have a distant cousin whose mother was one of the East Germans to escape. Having said that my Polish coworker said East Germany was a lot better than Communist Poland.
Jeremiah Martinez

Because China isn't Am*rica
Evan Edwards
Because 40% ofrece the economy ate state companies
The state owns 70% of the economy
And the state controls 100% of the economy

Wasn't most of the people who fled fleeing cuz of persecution my the Strasi? I mean fuck those guys knew how to drive people insane and play with their heads.

Heh, it'll work this time right?
Landon Price
China is doing pretty well so far
Nicholas Moore
Thanks to moving away from socialism.
Juan Davis
thanks to moving away from planned economy, i would say
Aaron Phillips
Read Deng holy shit. Idiots (mostly burgers) make the mistake of thinking somehow Deng and Xi are not true believers. They are communist to the bone and their reasoning is published.
Hunter Butler
>Britain in 1880 is sufficiently industrialized for communism t. Marx
>but tsarist Russia in 1917 was not :D t. commie
>neither was China in 1948 XD t. commie
>and not Cuba in 1960 ;DDD t. commie

>hurr china is so great *moves to canada*
really not interested in your propaganda
and don't get catty with me you filthy chink
go eat some dogs
Asher Richardson
I'm not even Chinese and I don't think China is great. My argument shows that their praxis is fully within the realm of dialectical materialism. So people who go "hur dur China isn't communist" are massive idiots who have not even bothered reading Marx let alone Hegel.
Landon Murphy
the only reason is that it would udermine the current dictatorship. its more like a vestige
Zachary Morgan
then who would make you your shirt sven ?
Julian Brooks
Hitler managed to sort of own quite big parts of the industry too. Just because it's owned by the state doesn't mean they are socialist or communist. They are exploiting their employees as much as companies would do. It's more like enforced states capitalism.
Jack Wood
>the usual Stalin and Pol Pot weren't real gommunism maymay
Oliver Martinez
I would argue that China since the 80s is more like Yugoslavia or Kadar's goulash communism than anything.
William Lewis
You forgot to mention you essentially have to be part of the party to have any chance in getting into a higher position in the party. It's like Ingsoc from 1984.
Ethan Cooper
>any chance in getting into a higher position in the party
Brainfart. Any higher position in society (higher management, military, company head, etc etc). You also have to demonstrate loyalty to the party before the country and people.
