Virus embedded into images

Anyone here scared of downloading brap pics posted here, or any other pics, because of a possible malware embedded into it? Don't want you niggers stealing my crypto

>hiding stuff in images

Jow Forums actually checks for embedded content and prohibits uploading it

You can't get a virus by viewing a brap picture, you stupid degenerate.

you should be more worry about cursed images (pic related)

Concerned citizens such as yourself should not be worried.

I don't want to add fuel to the fire anons

Not just viewing, downloading

I did not know this, nice. Curious how it does that. Also wondering if imgur or any other popular image uploading service does this

no you cant spread through images on Jow Forums, the website blocks it, i tried...

also people dont really care about spreading like this, you dont get 1000 of installs.... maybe people that spread rats...

>Not just viewing, downloading
Are you dumb?

>using windows for anything but pure gaming in 2018
kek

Jow Forums doesn't prevent uploading, it seems. The Odin pic I just upped has something embedded in it, notice it says 2.98 MB, but when you save it -- that's when the data is lost.

Don't open this image

>gaming
Grow up.

>begin a gaymen in the current year

it's not magic, if you don't ever open the file as executable then nothing can happen

sorry about your childhood, son.
life is but a series of games.
with my 148 iq and highly specialized trading strategies, i've made serious bank off crypto. i can afford to game as much as i want. keep working the trenches and maybe, just maybe you'll be on my level one day.
keep hating your betters, cutie pie :^)

You can't get a virus from an image, especially not one viewed through a web browser on an Nipponese image board. It's a meme created by the (((antivirus))) vendors paired with a theoretical autistic-lab level software experiment. They managed to get a .jpg to execute code in a system that was already infected with another separate piece of hostile code that executed and understood that code. Regular image viewers can't do it. (PDFs are another matter, since Adobe is a shit. But that's a different topic...)

99% of the time it's just some faggot sending out CHEESE_PIZZA_NOT_A_VIRUS.PNG.EXE and giggling when Windows users with "hide extension of known file type" on by default just see the .PNG and click it. Social engineering and morons account for 99.9995% of all of the "muh viruses" you hear about. The actual shit still existing in the wild that propagates on it's own is unicorn level rare, and two of them are operated by Israel as weapons.
