Lol we've got money in crypto i just dont want ALL of our money in crypto
Benjamin Ortiz
Stock market will be in ruins within 2 years. Hold onto your 25k it’s a worthless amount of money to invest currently. Go on holiday and spend your money what’s the point of having it if you don’t use it?
Dominic Evans
Dividend paying mutual funds. for steady long-term gains that suck compared to crypto
Thomas Robinson
We have money for all of that. This is money we werent expecting and are looking to invest and build off of
Adam Diaz
Don't try picking individual stocks, you should put majority of it into some ETFs and maaayybe a few individual stocks if you want to risk a percentage of it.
Easy mode: Open Acorns account and dump it in there using the "moderate" portfolio. Slightly more complicated mode: Open a Stash account and research/choose from more of their portfolio options. Hard mode: Open Robinhood account, research ETFs and create your own portfolio.
Aiden Ross
HA the only thing that will be in ruins in 2 years is the US economy when the debt bill comes due and creditors dry up.
Christopher Stewart
Appreciate your reply
I'm ignorant to ETFs and stocks in general so ill continue my research. Not going to put our money in until i have a half way decent understanding of how this all works. Bit of a rabit hole though.
Pussy, all in on bcn/btc stop loss at 88, limit sell at .00000115, quick 3k right there, then all in nebl/btc, buy at .0011, sell at .0013. Up $7500 in 1 day.
Hudson Allen
Buy gold and silver if you want minimal risk. We are due for a stock market crash.
Cooper Morgan
Is this bait? > not a huge amount of risk > Netflix, Nvidia Top kek. Just buy passive ETF's if this isn't bait.

Research Canadian marijuana.
Are you American?

If you weren't scared you would put all in crypto. What do you have to lose? 25k? Lol big deal, that's what many people manage to make in a year. Start being more careful when you have more than 50k
Lincoln Miller
> high risk meme stocks. OP listen to:
Jackson Long
Are they not good choices? I didnt mean risk averse as in no risk, just alluding to not putting more money into crypto which is what these conversations usually turn into.
Caleb Jones
I have money in crypto. I don't want to put more money in crypto .
Appreciate the super helpful advice

For the pot thing i was thinking cannabix might be a good option.

Nvidia is at it's peak, but if crypto blows up this year you'll make a lot of money, if not, you'll lose some.

You're talking in terms of mining? Im more interested in Nvidia for ai

stock picking = negative ev, unlike many people still think. you'd better drink that 25k
hedge funds have been going bust since they have wrongly assumed a stock market bubble past 5 years
Ethan Lopez
I know you do but you are better off putting the whole 25k into crypto. 25k is food for sharks in the stock market, you would need like 100k min to make any decent profits
Levi Garcia
Translate this for my brainlet self. Youre saying that most stocks are worth more than their actual value meaning we're in for a correction?
Jonathan Howard
Okay so 25k all in on chainlink.
Great.
Isaiah Peterson
So what is your advice for a guy putting 250k into the stock market.
Jacob Perez
if you pick individual stocks by yourself youre most likely to lose in the long run. buy fractions of whole indexes instead by buying into a passive mutual fund of etf that tracks one of the big indexes.
Wyatt Gomez
Axa Framlington Global Technology Axa Framlington Healthcare Legal and General US Index Schroder Small Cap Discovery
You're welcome faggot.
Jacob Williams
I don't know, I'm not a financial adviser. I just come here for crypto. But my advice would be to buy blue chip stocks and aim for 5% a year. Also, I didn't say to invest necessarily in link but just any crypto. Splitting 25k between bitcoin or ethereum would suffice. That's what I would do anyway, if you want to play safe then listen to what other anons are saying
Asher Hall
Micron. 3x minimum in 2 years. More than 10x in 4 years. Dyor. Look into chalcogenide switching technology.

Any good investor doesn't have time to lose on Jow Forums OP. Don't take advice from here and go talk a real fund manager.
Juan Collins
What about Obama's new production company? They just partnered with Netflix and it's hard to see how a former President's business venture could fail. "Higher Ground Productions", they'll have the SJW crowd shilling buckets of cash for whatever they do
Inb4 Jow Forums cretins, I'm just trying to make money

FAANG and BAT
Dylan Hall
Ya. Dont try to do individual stocks yourself. Unless youre a broker youll get your face melted. Find a mutual fund with at least a decade of history if not more and make sure their returns beat the s&p 500. Or if safety is your main concern, wait until interest rates go up one or 2 more percent then buy govt bonds. Wont pay as much but your risk is basically nil
Lincoln Phillips
I disagree and i was full prepper mode before Trump won the office. As long as Trump is in charge the market is going to soar. The elites cant risk the drop happening when QE is not a certainty and it's doubtful trump would initiate QE. Go all in on stocks....but if it looks like he loses 2020 or doesnt run i would go full bear mode
Nolan Wright
Now is the absolute worst time to buy stocks. You're buying high and selling low.
Jaxon Sanchez
Saying all the wrong things. You clearly have no idea what QE actually does, go back to speculating funbux.
This is exactly what ive been worried about, at the same time theres alot of things going on globally that could send the market into a spiral. Was thinking about waiting this year out and seeing what happens , while getting a better idea of the market in the mean time
Isaac Brooks
If it's for long term you'd want to focus on dividends to reinvest. And since you're looking at tech stocks I'd add Intel and Seagate to your list. Also altagas is a good dividend producer, it's not oil, but natural gas/ renewable energy.
Nathaniel Cox
Go with a fond. If your new into this, buying stocks yourself is maybe not the best idea.
Jack Reed
Split between amazon, alibaba and walmart. Those 3 will rule the worldwide retail within the next 20 years (more than they do now). Thats what Im doing and Im averaging 25% p.a. over the last decade
Dylan Brown
Does Baidu fit in with these? They're beating Amazon on the voice recognition front from what i understand?
Jackson Wilson
THIS ffs, user THIS be fuckin careful, in the UK on the Bank of England site they show what the quantitative easing money is spent on.. TL;DR; 'money' ie debt is being created for absolutely FREE, this free money is used to buy STOCKS like apple, ect. The free money is what brought us to ATH...
Chase Allen
Yes, major fund managers are crowded into FAANGS and BAT atm because everything is overvalued but these tech stocks have more upside.
- Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google - Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent
I would say BATs have more growth potential because it will be protected and favored by the Chinese government against their foreign and possibly local competitors.
Harvard's endowment is also heavily long on Apple, Google, and Microsoft equities.
Although im still thinking that oil and gas might be a good bet. I feel like waiting till next year and seeing how everything pans out might be my best course of action
I have no horse in that race, I will say though NVIDIA can financially outmuscle AMD in terms of talent recruitment and R&D. The nature of the tech sector makes it a winner-takes-all/most business.
>And then the company said that while it generated $289 million in sales to cryptocurrency miners in the first quarter, Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress said that the company expects cryptocurrency-related revenue to fall 65% to about $100 million in the next quarter.
Check out the Norwegian Sovereign Fund...interesting what they are into, its online also. Thats the worst part about this, the facts are available The cracks are starting to show, I *THINK* by the end of the year/start of next the public will start to see the cracks. But what the fuck to I know...the public is so dumbed down it might take longer
Zachary Howard
The central banks and government already showed their colors in the 07/08 financial crisis; they will bail banks out. Right now the fat cats are partying like it's 2007 and this time knowing they will be bailed out again.
Name me one major government that will not bail out banks in the next financial crisis.
Ian Morales
NONE, check out what happened in Cyprus in 2013! it was the course of the BTC rise....

i would do 15k in 3 fixed income mutual funds, and then 3 stocks each with 3.5k or whatever
my picks would be....intel, ibm, microsoft...since u can't invest in the crypto coins invest in tech stocks
Luis Lewis
I’m sure if it’s a space op has interest in he can find a product that cuts a swath against it.
I’m not sure we established his risk appetite completely
>shilling aurora and GW.
The reason I asked about if he was from the US is sometimes venture capital into a potentially booming market is a good play, local pot businesses are thirsty for money as banks often wont touch them.
Parker Campbell
I wouldnt buy gold if you DONT want risk. Gold is not overvalued but it does have a long way to drop if something stupid happens and we have all seen stupid shit in the markets.
Silver is your safe bet and actually has a moon shot. Silver is undervalued compared to gold historically but when you consider silver's manufacturing applications silver is vastly undervalued. I dont remember the actual figures but theres something like 4x the amound of silver mined as gold each year but when you deduct the manufacturing applications of silver its more like 1.2x silver to gold in circulation. Silver has been manipulated for at least my lifetime and if the market were to determine the actual cost of silver it would like jump 10x overnight and thats conservative

Ive done this already. Have two properties one of which is a rental. Selling is not a good idea atm.
Grayson Peterson
You think it's the same Harvard endowment personnel that made those terrible commodities play? The investment fund has been reduced and reorganized, and much of their fund management is handled by a third party.
I like how you conveniently ignore the fact a panel of 223 fund managers with $643BN in AUM have stated they're the most crowded trade in four consecutive months.
It's true most shares are overvalued, but some overvalued shares are worth buying over others.
David Roberts
Canadian guy out of Alberta here. So youre saying to invest into small pot companies rather than large company's like aurora etc?
James Morris
So sell everything and live in my car and wait for this crypto shit to take off?
Benjamin Adams
A real good idea, even if it just an empty lot, nobody will find a way of making any more land, maybe there will be an extra 5 acres on Hawaii, but not the kind you would expect anyone to use or buy... Someone could easily come out with a new CPU design and intel or IBM could go bust. Just remember AOL, Yahoo, Myspace.. Apple Newton
Xavier Phillips
I came into some money once What a mess!
Adrian Flores
fukin half of these posts are smart ass pajeets, every comment be like "dump it all in crypto" but you are a new investor, and you probably don't know jack shit about what crypo is worth investing in, but my advice is >look at the hubii project >consider investing in HBT >be like big ass firms like telenor and mozilla yes they invested in this small crypto venture
Just look at the list of dividend champions if you are in the US. you want companies on a reasonable PE spread across different sectors, oil and basic materials are good ones atm, and that have a long history of paying an increasing dividend and a good compound annual dividend growth rate. The dividend must also be well covered by income and free cash flow. Set up a recurring buy if your stockbroker has that facility as you'll get cheaper dealing fees and don't have to worry about trying to time the market.
And no I'm not a boomer faggot, I still have 20% of my portfolio in crypto.
Noah Nelson
Just buy ETFs. You can't beat the market by stock picking. ETFs will give you lower risk (because of diversification) and perhaps even lower expenses.
If you aren't a VERY experienced stock investor then stock picking is a complete waste of time. It's a lot more competitive than crypto and most stocks are priced very fairly based on known information. Just look at the percent of active funds that underperform in the long run. Not even most professionals can stock pick succesfully.
