I've never heard of them. K-pop is very very unknown among the public here, only a tiny fraction (1-3 % perhaps) of the population listen to it and they are usually those nerds who like Pokemon, anime and whatever.

I think their fanbase is only moderately sized but autistically militant. I mean they only have like 17m on twitter which is fuck all compared to the bigger musical acts. Their fans are just absolutely obsessed and artificially boost their popularity by streaming their songs on repeat on multiple accounts, liking every single post about them on multiple acounts, false flagging as people who have never heard of the group on social media as pretending they're new fans who just discovered how amazing they are etc. It's quite an interesting phenomenon to me because of how incredibly inorganic their fanbase is.
