"Pardo" is a generic term for "brown" or "mixed" or as you put it "56%er". Generally Pardos seem to be mixed white, black, and native.

If they're a mix of european countries, they're white, if they're a mix of asian countries, they're yellow, but an asian parent and an european parent,would fit in pardo. But race is self-identified, so they can decide if they want to be white, yellow, pardo, or any race for that matter, if they claim to be black, the census will say they are black
