Færoyir user! Hvordan går det? I heard that the people of Faroe Island and Shetland wanted to vote on becoming part of Norway, how is the situation today? It doesn't seem like Norway is very interested even though it would expand our sea borders extensively. You are not part of EU right?

no, don't know about Shetland. But we have never wanted to become part of Noway.
We did have our own independence vote in 1946, with a stunning 50,7% in favour of cutting ties with Denmark.
Didn't get independence though, ended up being self governing. Best of two worlds
