You mean downtown or...? Downtown is indeed very nice to live in but you need to be rich to do that comfortably. I couldn't shake the feeling of uneasiness while I was driving around the non-downtown areas. And that was during daytime, do people even come out of their houses during night-time? Every area looked sketchy as fuck. I was driving the western part near the airport and around the southern part near the Indiana border.

I feel bad for my fellow Americans not knowing that it's not fucking normal for 70% of the city to be a criminal hellhole where it's impossible to get good service or even feel like you're among fellow human beings

You literally need to memorize which parts of the subway line will get you murdered and at which hours. Everyone in town knows which trains and which lines to avoid, especially after sundown.

Living in either one of these suburbs or any adjacent one is nice af, they are quaint little villages that are most definitely very livable

its super hilly around here too so its sounds like a similar situation, except there's no bike lane and I'm afraid ill be shot at. Also make sure your bike seat is adjusted right it makes a big difference
