This image gives the European a panic attack
Does American urban planning only exist so that Americans are forced to be reliant on large corporations?
This exists in Canada and Mexico as well
>fatburger
why? this look likes Rudnik or Kranj shopping center
better than anything in russia
Europeans yell at me when I post images like this:
>traffic lights on highway
yeah I'd have a panic attack too
inter state road - check
at perifery of urban are- check
its just there are only houses in your pics and no flats
Yes, americans rely on large corporations
why is this country such a fucking shithole?
Endless parking lots, so disgusting
>does Australian urban planning only exist so that Australians are reliant on car manufacturers
>shut it down, the cunts know
What's stopping north Americans from building multi-storey parking lot?
All roads lead to McDonald's in the land of the free.
this tbqh
>fatburger
this exists in Spain too.
Why?
>get a car or go die in hole
Most shopping centers have significant amounts of areas that are dedicated to pedestrians and/or completely prohibit cars
>using canadian pictures to show america
I really don't get this
are clearly canadian pictures, do americans not know every company in the country?
loving your irony, could be a tad more subtle but most cunts won't get it so good job nontheless
That wasn't the question.
Why is everything grey?
I always knew we are not europeans
>sealed parking lots to the point where ponds accumulate and leave patches of dirt when they dry out
*Amazons your shopping mall*
Still more expensive than just buying more land.
Not really, but shopping malls are dying because of the shop on the internet.
Can't decide what's worse, paving square miles of parking lots and making people drive everywhere to buy stuff, or sending half a dozen different delivery services through neighborhoods several times a day to deliver packages.
How do you call a mall the size of a small town? I dont think thats uncommon anywhere. Los Estados Unidos has a lot of space, a lot.
Why is each store a seperate building? Build a complex. 1 building, 1 parking lot, less space used, less ugly
Unfortunately while this is more common in Australia, they're usually STILL far from everything. This is one of the legitimate complaints about Australia
Unless you live in Melbourne, Sydney, and MAYBE Adelaide, you are fucked if you don't have a car. It's real bullshit and totally unnecessary but baby boomers fucked us all with "I NEED AS MUCH LAND AND AS BIG A HOUSE AS POSSIBLE" mentality. Fuck them all
>canadian tire
>real canadian superstore
>mark's work wearhouse
>dollarama
>rbc
>yellowehead hwy
>scotiabank
>rbc
>tim horons
>marks
>td
>save on foods
>real canadian superstore
>prince albert
these are clearly leaf pictures, stop it
What really bothers me is that they couldn't even cluster those companies at the very least.
Oh hell it annoys me to no end. Have to fucking drive forever to get anywhere. Fuck boomers
We have those here too, I think its for the cars/parking, does this system has a name?
Wew what do you even DO with 214 sqm? How many fucking rooms do you need to get to 214 sqm?
The house I grew up in was bigger than that and most people thought it was an outright mansion not to mention that now my brother and I have moved out it sometimes feels like a haunted one.
In short: all rooms are just very big. And there's an extra bathroom upstairs, room for laundromat and fridge, extra garage, etc.
Take off the parigots and the average French house size is above 150m2.
The Australian and American average also includes apartments and such. Even those are king size over there.
>tfw Sydneysider
Almost every suburb has a Woolie or Coles, all within 5 mins from the train station. Feels great.
My house is 600m2 and we lack space
>walk 10 minutes to train
>take 5 minute train ride
>walk another 5 minutes to supermarket
>return
this is not what we mean when we talk about 'withing walking distance'
I'm never quite sure whether floor space comparisons include storage and garages or not, but I think they don't.
Ask baby boomer generation goblins. They were fucked in the head beyond belief, drugged with prosperity and materialism. Back inthe day with these fuckwits every shithead had a "spare room" and huge backyard that they did nothing with except have barbecues every now and then
Australia is still a great place to live (so far and comparatively) but they fucked us in the anus so bad.
They shouldn't. It's living space. Which is a vague concept anyway once you have things like attics.
Or for example over here they love to include balconies in said space for apartments.
Yes, but 18% of the French lives in the flats and commieblocks of Paris.
Do you enjoy sucking dick just to pay rent?
And another 35% in flats and commieblocks of any other town or city.
New houses in Australia are either super fucking huge, or tiny as fuck, there's no inbetween. why exactly this is I don't know, what people do with all that space, play sport or host big fuck off parties for their kids and their friends to get drunk and throw up in the yard
It's a clash of cultures. Younger people aren't fucked in the head and want a utilitarian living arrangement while baby boomers wanted the Moon to have barbecues and watch a Current Affair
The problem with this is that you can only build houses once (effectively little to nothing build after 1970 that isn't some commieblock has ever been torn down) and if people choose to build in such retarded manners the future generations will only have the choice between mansions and little shacks while most people just want a normal sized house in a normal neighborhood.
every town in canada on the highway needs to have a massive parking lot in case the highway gets shut down during winter with cars and trucks needing to park somewhere
we have areas like that here as well.pic related is just a 20 minute walk away from my flat.
we got many of such retail districts
disgusting
I wish so much that I lived in America.....that pic actually brings me joy
